Waking up,
The smell of strawberries
Marries the air
And infatuates me into
An early morning's lust;
I'm in paradise.

Holding your hand,
Fingers intertwined,
As the radio plays
And we stay with the beat.

Leaning in,
This is the moment;
Strawberries flood
My tastebuds,
And then you blew a bubble to the size of your face.

Bathing in bubbles
That are scent-less,
And I'm senseless
And my hands roam
And your mind leaves this world.

A fire burns
And seven bodies
Bare witness to newborn
Affection-
And I swear a star was too.

But I'll never see that star.
That taste seems so vague.
I came in and burst your bubble-
Tastes sweet
Until the flavor faded.

So here we are,
A bubblegum kiss later,
With a layer between us.

"a bright and bubbly personality"
is how i am described
but can’t you see thats all i am?
bubbles, they pop.
a bright flash- once it’s gone, there is darkness

You made me feel like I was something more
I went to bed with the taste of our conversations in my mouth

we talked about Tolkien and god,
The stars, and our purpose
you didn’t find my questions odd...
they usually scare people, disturbed inside, but laughing at the surface

we talked about that girl you like,
the guy i don’t,
I’m teasing you,
but I’m pretending that
the knife in my gut is hilarious

You leave-
your momentary absence seems eternal
emotional chaos, you
walk by-
don’t speak, but my eyes swivel in their sockets, skim your face in search of-
...in search of what? I’m never sure-
and my heart does a somersault.

the bubbles, the brightness, surge up,
like cheerful, coloured *****...

Cant you see I’m empty?
I’m nothing but these bubbles
these small emotions that run in and away,
are bright, but pop,
and leave the dark behind:
a-void.
theres nothing beyond them.

"I love you." She says.
And gets a quick response.
But those three words
Have more meaning for one
Filled with bubbles and weddings and cigarettes.

"Don't go." she pleads.
And they stay there together
For a few moments longer.
She never wants this moment to end
Filled with bubbles and weddings and cigarettes.

"Let's run away." She suggests.
And hears a "Yes, right now."
She knows it's all in fun
But She dreams of those days
Filled with bubbles and weddings and cigarettes.

"Live with me?" she asks.
And she means it in a way,
To be together always.
But not in the way that She wants
Filled with bubbles and weddings and cigarettes.

"I miss you." She cries.
And nothing is said.
She breaks down inside
But She won't let it show.
All those bubbles and weddings and cigarettes.
Can you find the two characters within these words?

Rising slowly
Knowing the top means the end
Watching as others pass by
Feeling the excitement underneath

Expanding with pride
The elation reflecting on similar faces
Wondering just where I came from
When...

Pop
~
Translucent bubbles

Bounce on river's green surface. . .

  Rainbow drowns in curls.

Warm, soapy water,
Filling a dented sheet of metal.
Heat escaping.
Slowly,
The spiralling steam surrounds you,
Smothering you.

The warm, soapy water
Is not so warm anymore.
The steam leaving you cold.

Soapy and cold,
The bubbles vanish,
Leaving a sting in your eyes.
There is no warm, soapy water.
Just a murky, cold memory.

Pink bubbles
Flow from the bathtub
All sizes
Yet the same
Soaring like mighty eagles
Then they just go POP!

You bring out this weird thing inside me
      Something I haven't experienced before
It bubbles up like dish soap in a sink
& then it pours over the sides every time
            I hear your laugh

When you tell me something nice,
you don't understand how little I get it
& it makes me smile for more than seconds,
but minutes, hours, days, every time
             I hear your voice

You held my hand differently than others
Like you had something to say with your fingers,
maybe a story about how well they fit entangled
with one another's or a short love story every time
            I feel your touch

"So will you go to prom with me," you asked me,
so casually, but I didn't need anything big or more
like I thought I wanted because that all changed
as soon as I met you & fell for your charm every time
             *I see you
Why did I have to meet you...

They float they soar bursting
Warmly on her nose, she giggles
At The sensation felt, at the
Feeling of happiness that now
Grows as they drift along.

They were her little wings,
Gliding through a flurry of
Rainbows, shimmering light
Glances of perfect bubbles.

Kaleidoscopes Bouncing
From one to another as little
Wings let bubbles Play with
The wind, a wonderful sight
To be hold.

She looked at this little wings,
Awe struck upon there creations
Upon the beauty of this dragons
Two. She wiggled her fingers
Playful towards them both
As one licked upon her digit
Then kissed her on her nose.

Flurries of laugher, innocent
And true, were followed by
A cloud of bubbles, shimmering
In the clear blue. She would
Always remember this day, as
She played with her little bubble
Dragons. Do you want to play in
The garden with me, bubbles,
Dragons and you.
