On

my

deathbed,

I hope that I am visited by
what I think are angels

or demons
(it doesn’t really matter which)

and,

as I wheeze out my last breath,
they reveal to me

that I was actually an alien
from another world

trapped
in the misshapen body of a human

for the entirety
of my existence—

all 28,000-or-so

days of it.

Because
then,

my role in
this whole charade

would finally make sense:

all of the mind-numbing

awkwardness

and suffering

and bullying

and incomprehensibility

of the world

laid out before me—

a picnic for a malnourished soul
to finally feast upon,

a glistening Colorado River to drink from

and,

at long last,
to rest beside.

Reasoning
It's likely that
There is life out there
On one of the space rocks
Hurtling through it's little dance
So maybe out there, there's a kid
Far beyond what's visible to us
Looking up through an endless summer sky
Wondering, like me, if someone else is there
The drowning fly
a little boy...

rescued from water
placed, upon leaf.

Shaking his wings
staring and puzzled?

Little Boy smiled
then said, Goodbye.

Off he flew,
perhaps a sigh?

Little became bigger,
old, then gone.

Ages, years later
planet now dying.

Lamentation and despair!
No, little hope!

And they came
strange-ones; as bugs.

Seeing through time
somehow they knew?

Knew about Boy
from long ago.

Leaving quite suddenly
left us gift.

A planet saved,
saving our people.

Turning at door
smiling said, Goodbye.

Statue right there,
spot they landed.

The Little Boy
saving a Fly.

Stomach plummets --
Cold blooded fear
Expressionless eyes
Open wide, mechanical
Blinking -- quit thinking
Go about your business
Don’t even nod
One foot and the other
In a perfunctory march
A slip and it’s over
They’ll turn and then stare
Raise up a finger,
Eyes bugging, mouth hanging
Expectantly before it comes:
Loud distorted ringing
The sound of your demise
Inspired by Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1978)

I don’t have time,
always in a rush,
I speak up I don’t sit down,
I speak loud but nobody says “Hush.”,

instead of “Quiet down”,
they say “Don’t give up.”,

uggh,

this Word Play is insane,
the Gift of Gab is real,
‘Make You Feel That Way’,
2002 Blazing Arrow,

that’s another reference,
quadruple entendre references,
people say “Your really talented.”,
but I usually don’t take those comments as compliments,

I don’t write this stuff anyways,
my Ghost Writer is a Higher Power,
correction,
my Ghost Writer is Higher Power,
correction,
I am a Higher Power,
correction,
I am Higher Power,

let that,
marinate for a minute,
in the,
Melting *** of America,
see with,
the Truth there’s no need for gimmicks,
when it’s,
entertaining enough just to live it,
we live it,
in a rush I don’t sit down I speak up,
can’t stay sitting’,
I speak loud but nobody says “Hush.”...

oh did you know, aliens eat kids for lunch, it's a rip,
school bells ring, pencils, books, superfast typing
and mr. finch, we're under attack, and away we run..

who are you?.. you can call me the doctor, says he
a mystery, hurry let's go, aliens goodbye, i'm in control
come with me baby, it's time to roll, and off we go

hello robot dog, goodbye flying aliens, hey love
building blocks of universe, in my hand, says he
time, space and matter, they're all my friend

my batteries are failing, lalalalala, you bad, bad dog
affirmative, and i cry, doctor, doctor, where are you?
i need you now, give me the blue pill, so i can chill..

"oh my lovely doctor, my love," and i laugh happily
"you can fly me into the future, or fly me, back in time
you can make me yours, and i will make you mine!"

"oh my love, you can spend the rest of your life with me
but sadly, i can't spend the rest of mine with you
it's the curse of the time lords, my love, says he..

What can be called a perfect mystery?
Could it be a piece of untold history?
Nothing on this earth could ever be worth it;
Whether it is the death of a prince or a spooky bit!
Can there be a mystery other than the space,
It keeps digging human brain with pace!
No human can ever predict what is out there,
It gives super-intelligent ideas human brains can't bear!
We'd never know whether there are alien mates,
Or world-like fights and quarrels between the states?
What kind of mystery could this be?
Towards it, it keeps attracting me!
Space is certainly the mystery of mysteries,
It has addresses we'd never find in all directories!
Each time I see the star-filled night sky,
It invites me to come over and fly!
It's a mysterious place haunted with alien ghosts,
I wish I was a guest to these ghost-hosts!
This vast sky peppered with stars
Is the finest gown of the word ‘mystery' it garbs! !
