Be scared mortal,,,, for it approaches,
The night be young, the spirits restless,
The wind dances,, the trees echo,,
Creatures of the night awaken,
Deep dark voids are open,
You can only gasp in terror,,
Your worst nightmares will come to pass,,,,
As the sky slowly turns crimson,
As the eye of the night opens,, blood red and hungry,,
Freeing the wild magic chained,,,
The bloodmoon approaches...

BloodMoon
Kagami Apr 2014
Draw the forces of old and wise peers
From the light of the blood moon.

A lunar eclipse and color radiates
In these consecutive nights.

Energy calls and empowers the bodies
Who call it. The Goddess gives what the
Moon sells to her.

Freedom will be the only rule,,
Embrace it,

The blood moon is up,,
full of spirit and radiance,,
with it,comes mixed fortunes,
love,hate,heartbreak,
happiness,depression,,
its up to your soul to decide,
the path can only be one...

The silver light,
that beautiful shine,
an array of sadness,
with shimmers of death,
the winds scream,
the wolves howl,
a rapid rising heart beat,
a dry burning thirst,
the blood moon is calling,
head its voice!
The moon forsakes the sky above
In it's place an empty grave
The orphaned stars now hide from view
Like all the gifts I never gave

The ocean trembles to the shore
Whispers lightly to the sands
Of life and death and seven seas
And it's own blood stained hands

No one has ever felt like you
Beyond a dream I couldn't find
Swallowed by the briny depths
I gladly lost my mind

My final breath has long since passed
Pain of flesh subsides
I follow you through bliss into
The lonely silent tides

The only thing love has given me...
Is a name for my misery...

A star thats long since dead and gone
A heartbeat in the womb
What's never been and ceased to be
A long forgotten tomb

A raven flying through the night
A fire that never dries
The teardrops ragged symphony
Glass breaking in your eyes
Glass breaking in your eyes...

The only thing love has given me...
A name for my misery...

Bonding beneath a Bloodmoon
Stuttering starlight of June
Waves that trace a salted line
Ever-changing sand with time

A loon calls from afar
As the wind responds in kind
Whispering wonders of the stars
Projecting our peace of mind

Bodies shrouded in darkness
If not for the afterglows
Speaking words in silence
Ruby kisses on the nose

Two silhouettes on the horizon
A glorious, glistening red
With nimble waves to guide them
They'll continue to forge ahead

crimson hair on soft pillows
like flames on water
darkness felt like home to us,
spending each night
talking to the stars
your teeth tracing my veins
my touch
enough to contort you.
our nights became ritualistic
your pulse pushing out your skin
shadows finding shadows
your demons meeting mine,
the moon was burning
my heart on fire
you are my muse.

I never liked beets; too soft, too red
too round, too bulbous,
too much like a bloodmoon.

I cannot live in these shaman
sleeves. They're heavy as rocks beneath
the waves, soaked to the bone
by a salty, sunless sea.  Too much
blue is bleeding into billowing wool, red as beet.

There's never an anglerfish
when you need a light, no beetbulb of flame
for that last rush of smoke before the black
undercurrent squeezes the air too thin.

The wolves are hungry tonight
and so is she
her heart does know no fright
with her pack she longs to be

Under the bloodmoon
see her limbs grow
her feral body is to swoon
turning wolf into lady from head to toe

Her brothers and sisters sharp teethed
running with the winds of winter
in this cold and star-bright night they will feast
blood smearings in the snow look just like cinder

Hear her song howling through the air
all ice melts underneath her fiery feet
as they catch and bite and tear
lucky ones see her eyes before their demise they meet

'Tis the night of the hunt
benighted men will not run
shouting "Begone! Animal! ****!"
happily she devours them, flayed bodies in the morning sun

She's always lurking, lusting for your smell
Dripping wet her mouth with the juice of life
no one lived for the story to tell
of the wolf woman, dark wood's feral wife

Waited up all
Night for a
Bloodmoon
But the clouds
Cauterized the
Gaping sky
