Two strangers brought together
Like the unrelenting pull of the moon on the ever moving tide,
Like the revolving planets circling the gigantic sun,
Like the intense pull of gravity on the miniscule drops of silvery rain.

As they wander though the glorious world,
They feel a mysterious magnetic pull drawing them together
And they know they'll never be alone.

They continue their journey through vast valleys and over tall mountains,
Through strong winds and deep waters.

As one slips, the other draws them up,
As one slows, the other offers them aide,
As one falls, the other carries.

What would they be
if the gleaming stars had never aligned,
if their paths hadn't crossed,
if an unknown force hadn't brought them together?

But they look to the stars,
Which are in perfect formation,
And they journey on
Using the constellations as a guide,
To a home where they can dwell for eternity.

Jealousy

I’m jealous of every hand you’ve held.
And lips you’ve kissed.
And every secret you’ve told.
I’m jealous of everyone who has loved you before.
I’m jealous of every person who’s had the privilege of having their heart broken by you.
I’m jealous. Because I wish I was the first.
The first hand you held.
The first lips you kissed.
The first secret you held.
The first person you truly loved.
The first person who’s heart you broke.
I wish I was the first.
But I wasn’t.

Moonlit eyes reflected on still, icy water
They draw me in
Into those deep blue depths I wander,
I dissolve into fragments of our memories
as I wade through your visions,
I see myself from the back line of your heart
and with salty tears,
I distort the perfect mirror of your eyes

Questions ripple out from the source:
How do you see such beauty in something so cruel
Why do you stay there in that storm that bites and claws at your soul
Don't you know why storms are named after people

My love does not know release
My love is desperate, unapologetic,
it will clutch you back every time you reach for the shore

But you are stronger than the tides
Gravitational pull has no power over your will
So what force is this that binds you to the idea
of this endless body of water
Have the sirens whispered sweet lies of true love
and other treasures buried deep in these dark waters
Or is the idea of drowning seeming sweeter than regret

Either way, be sure that I will destroy you in the most beautiful way
and the shipwreck I cause will mark every place with our memories
You will taste me forever like salty blood in your mouth
And your bright eyes will haunt me until the day I run dry

I wish,
I could keep you
Free from endless fear.

I wish,
I could save you
From the never ending tears.

I wish,
I could tell you
All the stories of my years.

To insure you,
You aren't
Alone.

Lethargy follows the facade
But I can no longer pretend.
This is how it has always been.
How it always will be.

Nothing changed
The streets were the same
People remained on their mapped paths
Perhaps people don't change
They just find the seeds within them grow
Until, eventually, their identity becomes the flavour of the root
So that the individual thinks themselves changed
When, in reality, they are just a boldened result of all that they have always been

I am this, as are you
Everyone is the rain, the grass, the sky
At different intervals
We have all been that girl, that guy
Everyone prays from time to time
Frightened by the realities, we wish not to face
We, the ever fascinating Human race
A thought without structure
