My mouth is flooding
Water pours out and
it pools on the floor

It keeps coming
Pouring and pouring
and pouring and pouring

Why can't I stop
I'm drowning in it
You're drowning too

I've always been a weak swimmer
I'm afraid one day I'll sink
The seaweed will grab me
and my limbs will stop moving

My lungs burn with need
They won't get what they want
But then they collapse
And maybe my fears disappear

I've heard that drowning
is the most peaceful death

fray narte
if we're all about
lazy, blanket-cuddles
mixed with Radiohead songs
and missing breakfast
in the morning,

if we're all about playing
Russian roulettes with
our anxiety triggers
and chasing them down
with *****,

if we're all about
untouched calendars
and jokes that aren't funny
and telling them anyway
and not saying
i love you's,

then,
i love what we're all about.
i love not saying
i love you's
with you.
i love this
kind of us.

i always wanted to be a fairy;
to be small,
skinny,
and free
to be able to fly,
soar through the clouds,
and touch the sun

i longed to be a vampire
so i could be beautifully pale,
survive on liquid alone,
and be asleep all day

i wished to be a zombie
so i didn’t have to eat,
so i could see my ribs,
and just rest in peace

i prayed to be a witch,
or a warlock;
make people see me for me,
and see me as a boy

i just want it all to get better
a wish list for the future, and a letter from the past

There is art
In your heart
Painting pictures
When I lay
My head down on your chest

There are songs in your eyes
Singing lullabies
When you hover
Pin me down
With your stare

There is a poem
On the tip
Of your tongue
I taste it
When I kiss you

You are tortured
Stereotyped
My jaded lover
I hear it
When you won't talk

A long day
Bruised sides
Ribs visibly shifted
Chest swollen
Stabbing heart pain
But it's all worth it
Because someone saw me
As I am.
A man.
My binder hurts me really bad but it's worth it
To the girl with
The rose pink cheeks
Covered in tears
At the sight of me

To the girl with
The trembling lips
Muttering how much
I've hurt you

To the girl with
The curled brown hair
Whisking away
To someone else

To the girl with
The smile that could
Turn me right side up
I wrote this for you
