~~~a Requiem for the DedPoet~~~*
the air we breathe
and its best accompanist,
a good life, well cherished,
that's a symphonic harvest reaped,
knowing the magma of countless blessed times daily
fill it with the glee of children,
raw joy, still unfermented, unpasteurized,
by the sour vinegar candies of life
inevitable to be delivered,
mouth puckering and ill tasting
bring good skills to all you do,
the wisdom to lean forward,
admiring it in a satisfied manner,
best work leads to best content,
now is the time to witness the value all about us
remind me to set aside,
the sidebars of grief, struggle,
pause me in minute minutes,
to grasp the pleasure of the
joys this world provides so easy freely
you come early time to me,
early, as I search for your words,
finding none, to begin this day,
but your gravelly voice intimate initiates,
you remain for me as alive as ever
reminding an old poem writer,
that the best is to come,
if one allows, if one allows,
this is my un-sad requiem~song for you,
hoping that the joy of living and
remembering
is a bond tween us, unbreakable*
I am a firefly
One who hates the night
When darkness demolished the sky
Loads of monster wants to take our light
I remembered my friend Tammy
At nighttime, she has the shiny glow of green
Her vision to be the greatest firefly who shimmy
Alas! Children put her in a jar and destroyed her dream
And then, I have a comrade's name Tommy
Who love to show his yellow glow?
Little he knows that was too dummy
Sticky tongue, big eye frog devoured him below
I am firefly, who has a red gleam
Who always pray to God to take our beam
In order for my kin to stop to scream
To peacefully spread our wings at night, ‘twas my very dream
I am a firefly
My name is Timmy
Thank you for leaving me
Thank you for ignoring me
Thank you for insulting me
Thank you for making me want you
Thank you for making me hate me
Thank you for making me feel bad
Thank you for making me feel great
Thank you for giving me love
Thank you for giving me ***
Thank you for making me depressed
Thank you for making me desperate
Thank you for making me lonely all my life
Thank you for your kisses
Thank you for your forgiveness
Thank you for your evil
Thank you for selfishness
Thank you for your selflessness
Thank you for letting me love you
When a woman says she doesn’t deserve to be with her man
He’s got to make her understand
That she is worth more than the world thinks
Men try to keep women down in the so called Man’s World
But a Man has to be the one who does the right thing
Even when it seems like treason
Who will stand up?
He assures his girl that he is just a simple man
And she can do exactly the same, even better
His heart reaches out to her, trying to contain a growing temper with the world creating such a mind set
He knows that he has to hold her hand and fight with her together.
Man's world my ***, Women are just as capable and equal as a man is.
A man with a hood
With promising words
Carried a small sword
Just in case he needed to
But he chose to use the weapon of unity instead
He had the choice, and he chose the right
Decades of dealing with corrupted taint
He brought the buckets of paints
And started slowly coloring
He was imprisoned for his beliefs
But that didn't stop him from being the man he wanted to be
Unlike the rest, his flavored words hold truth
When the world wanted black and white, he mixed the paintbrushes
And did not go down without a fight
He took over every podium
And showed his mixed colors of unity.
Brother to sister, white to black
He took of his hood and said hatred was what he lacked.
A political poem that connects with events in real life. I hope you're able to connect the pieces together.
Real poets support each other
And make sure they both walk out of the fire together unscathed
Changing the world in an unimaginable ways
I could go on for days
On how special that would be
To paint on a board and present it to the world
Plant the seed and watch it grow
We're waiting.
Probably my favorite write in a few weeks.
You may sometimes feel as though that your life has no meaning. That no matter how many times you try to help someone, you always look like the bad guy. All I can say, is keep your eyes open because no matter what, you are in control of your own destiny, whether you believe it or not. Nothing is permanent. Nothing is set in stone. Even permanent marker eventually washes away. So we should always keep our eyes open because if we walk through life blind, we will miss all the beauty along the journey.
~for James~
the record shows the obvious
is oft
overlooked
endless drench of words excessive,
incessant,
like a rainy day lockup that
irritates
until you reflect
let me search out for
gems and jewels,
new poems still unread,
missed, but not missing
for the quality of
good poetry
has no time limit or expiration date
and waits patient
just for you
for the soul of each poem understands,
eternal,*
far better than we humans
Savor it, keep it, and love it
Appreciation is showed for the marching band by how many horns are honked while cars drive by on the nearby road
Or almost stepping on small baby Toads on the walk to your car
In the middle of the night
Sleep deprived
It's okay, we wouldn't want it any other way
Gun control?
You mean like not going crazy with it and be a responsible adult?
This nation has a apparent gun contingency
But the moment we take the guns away
Will be the modern fears of Communism striking us from within
We would be the Rome with no able army
The Founding Forefathers knew this
And would of handled this shooting problem with some extra assistance from the nation's defenders themselves
Mr President, employ the protectors to keep us safe
But do not take guns away.
My take on Gun Control. I understand why people want it, but it will do us more harm than good. Analyze Australia and England and you will see. They lost their guns.
