You were curious
and
I was the cat.
I don't think
much more
needs to be said
about that.

You shot me in the stomach
And not the head.
I thought you'd try to
**** my wishful thoughts,
But you saved me from
The butterflies instead.

How could they be happy
They don't realize
That when you leave
I spend the night in that tee
And listen to that band
And I remember
How you smelled
How you smiled
How you sang
And ran
And kissed me the day
I fell in love with you.
