I didn't ask for a broken heart
Neither did I want the hurt
All I wanted was a ride to forever
Whether a smooth or a bumpy ride
Even if few have reached that place
I just needed a little favor
To be the only one in your embrace
Prayed that you lend me some of your trust
To oil the hinges of our love and keep them free of rust
I needed a bit of your faith, I needed you to believe
I hoped you'd stick around and never leave
All I wanted was some room to be a real man
Besides an opportunity to call you mine
A Romeo and Juliet story,at worst a Bonnie and Clyde

You lay here beside me, I'm warm in your embrace.
We talk of our future and discuss poetry.
You look into my eyes and declare your love for me.
You kiss me softly, and then I wake up. Alone.
We are little more
than the fevered dreams of atoms,
you and I.

That feeling that everything
is extraordinary. Looking
up into the ceiling and
seeing straight through
and up at the stars.

I am dying with a smile on my face.
I swear, one more time that lamp post or that cool breeze whispers your name
I will burry it down below where the roots are.
Because my skin, my eyes, everything that has remained yells for you.

The more
I drank t-
he closer**
I felt to
Your ever
Lasting tide
It never died
But it did shrink
With every drop that
Hit my lips, my animosity

For you faltered next to the bottle.

Smaller and smaller until i couldn't

Feel you at all, the glass walls contai-

ning this liquid also trapping your w-

aves inside them. Before I tried to hi-

de them, from other shores, but now

I could not find them, not at my door

After a storm, not on my floor ready

To make me slip, i miss your tide

When i take a sip...................

The rain pours
And pours
The roads flood
The ground turns to mush

And yet I spend my day
Not in the rain
Not in the lost thought of sadness
Not in the fear of death

But in the thought of you.

-r.y.s
It rains and pours and you keep me from the eternal sadness that follows

I'm not sure how many poems I'm going to write about him, or how many songs I'm going to dedicate to him, or how many hours I'm going to spend thinking of him, before I fall in love with him. But that is one day I am looking forward too.

It's hard to close your eyes and sleep
When I'm in trench-deep thoughts of you.

It's hard to dream,
   like, 'miss me too'
When you know it cannot come true.
