Bittersweet is the proper way to describe it
But it's so much more then that
It's creamy, and smooth
Given at the right time, can be called dessert

Brown as the earth, but fragile as ice
It can make or break a relationship
A hot, but not talked about, topic
It holds so much meaning

It can soothe any pain
And heal any wounds
It brings happiness
As nothing else does

It's incorporated in so many things
Yet, it's original taste is unmatched
A beauty not yet discovered
When will my dark chocolate arrive?

Destiny is a funny little thing
But I can't seem to find it
Where is it? Is there a map?
Should I follow the stars?

The stars aren't always right
Constantly changing locations
But the dirt under my feet is always true
It keeps me grounded

The Earth is always there for me
It is my refuge
Even if I do not know where to go
My feet will always know the place called home

What do the stars know of this?
They live so far removed
In a void with no air
Suffocating themselves to doom

I will follow my feet
They know the way to go
Where ever my destiny is
They will surely know 🌍🌏🌎

I don't aspire to marriage
It's not a goal I have in mind
But if I'm feeling a little lonely
It's because I'm waiting for you this time

If I look over my shoulder
Past the crowd outside

When you look up at the stars
It's the eyes of the universe watching

Talk to the universe
About your dreams and desires

They'll understand you

For the night sky is always there

Find solace in the quiet of the night

The universe will watch over you

Can be blown away

Waking up from a nightmare
