I am not Paris,
I am humanity
begging to be restored.

I am not Paris,
the terrorist,
the mockery.
I am the part of it
that asks why.

I am not the destroyer
the killer, the monster with a gun.

I am the disappointed , the little voice of conscience,
That tells you to look in all corners of the world
and breathe reality.

Because if you too
weep
You are not Paris,
You are the many,
The past, the present, the future
That beg for humanity to be restored.

I look at those across from me - searching distant seas.
I guess what they say is true. When a harmful breeze
blows
we will all unite.
But yet when peace does come we search for a fight.
I know though that - no matter how good - corruption
will take root. Until destruction
turns good will into dust and hope into decay
And as we search these twisting allays
for answers
all we can say is pray....

but we will divide
because we all are fearful
and we will be cheerful
when the culprits are found
searching with trained bloodhounds
when it comes to hope
we'll pray with all our might
for their strength, families and fight
we will love for a moment each other
hand in hand with our brothers

The leaves have fallen
And the wind bites my face.
Weakening ,as though by body knows
how much of me was taken with you.
An empty vessel that was once filled with your love,
My heart breaks with every inhalation.

I search for your eyes on every face,
your smile in every dream.
Seeking the sky for comfort,
I know the brightest star shines down on me.
This one has taken me two years to even look at after I wrote it. It means a lot to me and was written about 2 months after my father passed away.

I'm starting to find myself again.
It's been a while.
Like meeting a long lost friend.
What should I say?
What should I do?
With open arms I welcome myself,
letting my soul resonate.
is reason alone to live

On a hot day.

Creamy,
delicious,
Dripping
Ice-cream
Mmm...
I eat you. 11:56 pm

obviously delicious ice-cream, not ****** sandy , lame ice cream.

happy ice-cream day .
Tastes good though lethal.
It doesn't satisfy,
It enslaves
Us,
And letting go isn't
Easy;it takes
Choice and
action,
Courage and deep determination,
In order to
Win the
War
Battle against self is
A tough one,
But victory
Calls.
It’s common in the human race,
They helped their son to death.
Might as well have covered his face
And robbed him of his breath.
They gave him everything he wanted
The dear child of their hearts.
But their bestowal of gifts, a bit vaunted
Were about them from the start.

The parents wanted everyone to see
How well they treated their kid.
But when it came time to say ‘no’
They went someplace and hid.
They ironed out the bumps in the road
So the kids never had to learn
What they should do when that road
Takes a sudden calamitous turn.

So, the kids, ignoring all good sense
Listened to their peers instead
And started finding external means
To fill up the inside of their head.
They learned life could be postponed
And so could ever growing up.
They could find some kind excitement
In something rolled or in a cup.

And who was there to stop their plunge
Into a kind of lost weekend life?
It certainly wasn’t their father for sure
Or his confrontation-free wife.
No, they didn’t want to **** the kid off
Because that would mean strife.
Let’s just leave the kid alone and watch
As she meets her demise over life.

It all started out when parents chose to
Become their kid’s best friends.
So, who was there to teach them things
Like hard work and discipline?
Who showed them the rewards to be found
In learning to postpone gratification
When they were sitting in front of the TV
Grossing out on mental *******?

There are no limits within a dream
Insanity at its most extreme
Imagination aged the child
It made me strong, it made me wild

I have ocean secrets growing deep
They're mine to ponder, mine to keep
Creativity taught and raised the kid
It gave me hopes in the places I hid

I grieve for humanity
Because my own may harden
I grieve for justice
Because war knows no pardon
I grieve for courage
Because with fear we may govern
I grieve for children
Because a fire burns in their garden
