the landscape bathed
in an indigo blue shading
on this sunny bright day
the rooster's sharp eye
was trained on Jim's person
making ready to chase
the neighbor's little pooch
just cocked his leg to ****
on the pub's back fence
the sky this very day
has a humdrum appearance
it's shaded in grey
heavily laden clouds*
hang their brows over the town
*readying to unload
a buck kangaroo
hopped across the river
in the early morn dew
light mist didst cover
the snaking river's journey
en route to blue seas
a magenta hue
showed in this morning's sky
as first light dawned
eloquently spoken
were those most silent of words
their message well heard
war is a maddness
causing much too much saddness
let saneness prevail
a flight of cranes
landed on the river's edge
as eve shadows fell
resplendent the dawn
painted by a sunlit daub
a picture so grand
through the tall tree stands
shards of light penetrated
to warm the earth's soil
this morn azure blue
reigns o'er the Northern Tablelands
radiant is its hue
in a frantic mode
did come the Atlantic swirl
reeking havoc's toll
spring's seasonal hue
didst come in a primrose bloom
of vibrant pink blush
a scowling wind blows
through the tall timber masts
their boughs left rankled
the colors of spring
emerge from winter's cocoon
of white snow wrapping
glimmering ripples
played on the lake's surface
like diamond sparkles
all of the in store
promotions are attracting
the keen shopper's eyes
volleys of thunder
rolled across the vast skies
resounding their blasts
winter's white cocoon
waited for spring's warm caress
to unfurl its hues
war is a madness
that causes too much sadness
let saneness prevail
a southerly breeze
danced around the elm trees
teasing their leaves
the vast sky glisters*
with millions of pinholes
on this clear bush night

we are fortunate
who view such a bright display
*its brilliance so grand
as the clock of life
ticks away its years advance
unto a dotage
across the night sky
a luminous moon sailed
towards its dawn port
a brilliant blue sky
reflects on the eastern hills
on this summer day
on the eastern range
plumes of profuse grey smoke
did rise to the sky
he so delighted
in exploring her garden's
bloom of loveliness
night wore a dark cloak
studded in sparkling jewels
its vista was grand
horse tail clouds drifted
across the blue parchment sky
this dazzling spring day
trees lose bark covers
like a brown snake shedding skin
to reveal new coats
her copper hued lips
implored him to kiss them
with exuberance
light veils of mist hung
o'er the river's snaking course
on day break dawning
a light mist tarried
o'er the verdant river flats
as first light did break
as winter sets in
village chimneys belch their smoke
more prevalently
from the western sky
drifted in promising clouds
yet they held no rain
love is a bouquet
scented in fragrant aroma
it overpowers
one is about to
partake of a green salad
for one's midday meal
on the footpath's grass
a pair of magpies forage
for delicious worms
in the predawn fog
a faint outline of fences
could be observed
in a few weeks time
the New England's hilly landscape
will wear fall robes
languidly the clouds
did sprawl over the landscape
relaxed their mode
over the landscape
presided a sky of blue
so brilliant in rule
he partook of her
scrumptious piece of tasty fruit
he craved for more
the red butterfly
pirouetted from shrub to shrub
in the glowing sun
midst the sparkling stars
sailed a luminous moon
chartering night seas
slowly the fog creeps
in our township's sleeping streets
dense is its heavy shroud
springs are breaking out
tis a good signal for rain
may the drops soon fill
