Grabbing my sleeve,
as I try to leave.
Tears running down your cheeks,
tears running down mine.
I don't want to go,
but it's against my will.
I'm chained to a wall,
as the blood falls.
Drip, drip, drip
down to the floor,
and killing my whole.
I will wait for you,
as long as you wait for me.
This is not suicide,
this is not a cut.
This is just my soul
thinking of the future beyond.
Her
I bet she's pretty.
I bet she's tall.
I bet she's nice yet not.
I bet she's smart.
I bet she's funny.
I bet she knows how to have fun.
I bet she does her hair everyday.
I bet she has nice clothes.
I bet she has a nice phone.
I bet she sends late-night texts to you, saying she loves you.
I bet she expresses her feelings.
I bet she knows you inside and out.
I bet she's all the things I am not.

I may be smart,
and maybe a bit pretty.
But that's where it stops,
for I don't do my hair everyday,
or wear make-up.
I don't express my emotions,
through this sweat-shirt.
She's nicer than me,
but I can be when I feel it.

Why can't you notice me,
like you notice her?
Why can't you see,
that I'm actually here?
Why can't you tell,
that I'm alone
in this box of loneliness?
I thought I could love you forever,
but then you saw my broken scars.
I thought we were perfect,
but it all went down in flames.
I didn't think my fight was over,
but I knew it all the same.
I thought you weren't
**gone.

How can you medicate me
                     if you barely know me?
Her cathedral is as black as night
her angels of death her sentinels
she is my glory and religion
my honored gothic queen

She spins me like a top
breaks me down to numbers
calls to me from the dark
her voice is so smooth and velvet red

She does love me I know
she calls me her favorite
and I never ever falter
never for my gothic queen

She who made me pure
and loyal to the darkness
her law is my bidding
anything for my gothic queen

By Christos Andreas Kourtis aka NeonSolaris
"I love you" she once said
But now they are just fading memories of you two laughing: in the couch or in the bed

"Forever" was another promise she could never keep
Now you can just sit down, remember and weep

"My love for you will never go away"
Too bad she decided not to stay

I think the point I'm trying to make is that you can write, sing or rhyme
But maybe, just maybe nothing lasts for all the time

She battles her demons, day in, day out.
They don’t stay quiet, they scream and shout.
They tell her she’s ugly, they tell her she’s fat.
Her thighs are too big and her stomach’s not flat.
She starves herself but that’s not enough.
This desire to be thin has proven to be tough.
It’s making her miserable, it’s making her sad.
The quicker the weight loss, it won’t be as bad.
But the weight is staying and it won’t disappear.
She’s taking it to the extreme
And she’s making it clear
That she wants to be thin
And thin she will be.
But what you don’t know is that girl is me.

We stay up all night
to find words that rhyme.
We scribble. We write,
losing track of time.

We stare into space,
deep in thought.
From a child's fairy-tale
to the wars fought.

We can't stay still.
Our fingers, they itch.
With no path to follow,
in dreams we are rich.

We dance and fly
but crash to the floor.
We laugh and cry
with our emotions galore.

Smiling while judging,
we scribble. We write.
From petty love stories
to the furious fights.

Over incomplete lines,
we again lose sleep.
Muttering new words
as we silently weep.

We see the world
the way no one would.
We break the rules
the way no one could.

A new day begins
with all new themes.
"Which one to choose?"
Our minds scream.

We scribble. We write
with bees in our bonnets.
From epic ballads
to the melancholic sonnets.

With passion in our blood,
and a calloused hand,
we are poets.
Together we stand.
