to love a poet
is to admit the world
is tragic

No metaphor will tell it
Although I convince myself within the moment
That it will last

That the clouds above my head
The howling wind which I adore
The summer rain and the glorious morn
Will indeed last

But they never do

Because no metaphor can contain
Or stretch it over the canvas to fit
Or even begin to properly paint
This representation known as you

You simply are, as simply is
Beyond the metaphor
Within the shadow of a moonlit truth
The best happens...when you stop thinking about it. And just say it. As it is. True.

Mysidian Bard
There was a time when we were strangers;
ships that passed in the cover of night.
We sailed parallel those lonely waters
not knowing that soon we'd be in sight.

There was a time when we were friends;
you wished only to reach the shore,
but my compass was spinning, our journey just beginning
and so I took you aboard.

There was a time when we were lovers,
but our ship soon started to leak.
We battened the hatches, bailing her out,
but hopes were battered and meek.

An unspoken pact and a final kiss,
letting you drift from my fingertips.
I readied the very last lifeboat,
but the captain goes down with the ship.

Strangers become lovers and lovers become strangers
through sailing the seas of time,
but this mariners tragedy's worth the memories
of when I called you mine.

Tissue's issue

The bin is full of tissues
One for each issue
And this last one remains in the box
As no tears flows
Feeling alone
Laying forgotten
With nobody known
it needs a tissue too
to solve its issue.
God keep our land.
Glorious and free.

God keep our land.
Free from persecution and enmity.

God keep our land.
Beautiful and preserved.
From sea to sea.

God keep our wonderful Canada.
Our nation of freedom, wide open
spaces, and diversity.
Our nation of nature's bounty,
and folks so friendly.

God keep our land.
A welcoming refuge for peoples
oppressed.

God keep our land.
Glorious and free.
God keep our wonderful Canada.
Oh, what a privilege it is
to be a citizen of thee!
I am filled with gratitude.
To be a dweller of this great country.

God keep our land, O Lord.
Glorious.
And.
Free.
A late tribute to Canada's 150th birthday celebration on July 1, 2017.

Show me O Lord
Where you yet abide
For no longer can I see
Without you by my side

Dark sprits and men
Have led me astray
A thousand times
Throughout my days

Your word is true
The only key
Twisted by men
More cleaver than me

I am too simple
And easily swayed
To keep up with the demons
That dance in my brain

Come to me Lord
And show me the Way
That I might rest assured
At the close of the day

i hope i find you someday
again.

walking down the street
as beautiful as the first day
again.

wearing same smile
world in your eyes.

bearing all this while
my reason to be alive.

i hope i find you someday
again.

walking down the street
and it's about to rain.

i hope i see you like that
once again.

i know then,
i'll remember your voice
for in the end,
i had no choice but to
delete you

and now after so many
years without you

i still don't have a clue
if there was any without you

for i can still feel you
in my arms

as if you never left
as if you have always been.

you were right here always
in my dreams,
walking down the street,
like we're still sixteen.

always.

                                  lost in midnight madness
                                         I can hear the clock
                                                  tick tock
A battle against the voice in my head

           "Don't go there”

                                                                           “But it’s time”

           “You’ll be fine”

                                                                          “Lose your mind”

A breakdown of a different kind
                                    an insomniac with no reason
                                                    or rhyme

            “You’ll be fine”

I’ll only sleep when the sun wakes up
