And when I met you
       I had no idea
That all the seemingly small moments
Would collect like raindrops in a storm

        I didn’t event stand a chance

Swept away

         But ,oh, the ride was beautiful

Sun
After I looked at the sun
I could see nothing else
How many interpretations?
The oyster whispers echo
within its own silent shell
Its utters of longing
sought to bejewel
a pearl's essence,
as an ocean's murmur
heaves within its shuck

Some might call it lightly
fragile hope;
a fleck of light in dark

Or just a dream
of an unspoken grain of sand,
a diamond in the rough

The Concrete Poet
I am but
one star
in the
universe
that you
deserve.
I am but
a rain's
puddle
when
it is
the ocean
that you
need to
swim in.
Wish
upon me.
Dance
and jump
within me.
I long
to be
enough
for thee.

let me be
your cigarette

so I could
touch
your lips

let me be
your addiction

that you could never
try
to quit

Whenever someone
compares you to poetry,
be sure
you'll never
let them go.

If poetry is a way
of survival,
then
they'll never be able
to spend
any other day
without you.

but the butterflies in my stomach swarmed my throat, and all the words got caught in their wings
