Remember that

I love you; remember that.
Whenever you are feeling down,
Remember that I have got your back.
If you need me, then I will help if I can.
I am sorry I could not do more;
I am just a man.

Remember that, if you expect everything,
When I have nothing to give.
Remember the times we shared together, when I tried to live.
Remember that when I let you down.
Remember that when I leave this town,
And all I have been through; remember that,
I passed on through here once.
Once upon a time I was with you;
Only once, for once was enough.

I know you saw me.
Remember I just wanted to tell stories.
Fact or fiction.
Poetry is my addiction.
Remember what I wrote.
Remember all I tried to say to you.
Remember I love you;
Know that I know.
Once upon a time you loved me too.
Remember that?

Remember that I made mistakes.
A wedding cake is all I wanted.
I never found the best I ever had.
Remember something; forget nothing.
Remember the plans we made?
We disagreed, so I gave you what you needed,
And still you walked away;
When I needed you to stay.
Remember to visit my grave.
Remember you are always welcome,
No matter what anybody else may have to say.

Remember when you are having a drink,
That I do not drink, but I understand.
Remember that I will not judge you,
For I too am in the wrong,
For I am just another man.

Remember to be yourself.
That is all I have ever been.
Remember that.
Remember me.
Remember our time together
And all the love we had.
Remember I love you, now and forever;
Don’t forget,
To remember that.

Time stands still when I’m with you

It’s chaos and stillness all mixed into one

Just enough air to breathe but not enough to speak

Arms wrapped around one another as if to brace ourselves against the clock

I’d open my eyes but I’m far too weak

Eyes closed, but definetly not asleep
A poem about someone else
With the calender set anew
Days are to be discovered
But I hope it is with you
Another Year

Take me
to the
stars

I'm ready
to
observe
the sky
with you.
sweet mercy Aug 2017
stayin' with you
Tho it's tough,
Tho it's rough,
In times you feel like youre not enough,
I am here.

but if you will put down
A wall in between
I'll give it you
Through liberty,
And your serenity,
I am here.

That's not for eternity?
Is it?
Stayin' even if this is lame
Even if nothing's gonna be the same,
I am here.

I've been stuck here on my own
Break me out
I hate being alone
I wish I could be more friendly
But my pride holds me down
So please break me out
Before I break down
No one should ever have to fight on their own so please help me
Escape from my cage of pride and doubt.
I do want help.

I take your hand
As we run though the rigged woods
Running feeling the dead trees crack
Beneath our feet

We stop by a small creek
You take me steadily in your grasp
As we walk further under a small dark bridge

You stop
You turn your head up
To look up at the moon

I feel you against my back
Searching for the stars

The cold winter breeze
Bites at my skin
But your body
Holds me warm

The gentle tickle of your breath against my ear Telling me of a story
The moon, the night, and the stars

When the wolves cry
The darkness sets
And across it all it shines bright

These are the moments
The moments I cherish with
You tonight

Let's go somewhere far,
Somewhere where I'd hold you tight.
Hand in hand.
Wherever you'd like.
Whether train or plane.
An automobile or an boat.
Either way will be home in justification.
Journeying through each other's eyes, a different aspect of seeing things brand new.
A single step becoming wholesome
Just for the sake of getting up and getting out.
The feelings that dwell within
Escaping out.
Anywhere with you, to be perfectly honest.
Venturing abroad in living, breathing color.
Heads leaned against each other in excitement,
The comfort of toes covered in warm sand.
Sculpting each and every memory.
The sun becoming a spec in the horizon.
Exploring every wish, every dream we've found within reach.
The feel of every couch cushion.
Misplaced nickels, dimes.
Caressing the weight of weary legs.

A earth tone colored pattern.
The lobby of every room folded In the brochure of our heart.
All in the autobiography of us.
To live, to breathe in the essence of where the ocean sprays against the gleam of your shades.
The hull of yachts splashing against the oncoming waves.
The ripeness of fresh fruit served at local vendors hidden from the sun harvested by kind hands.
The only thing missing is a good pair of shoes.

Or perhaps lay here with you just a bit longer
