Love.
A force unyielding,
The strongest of all,
It lifts us high, never lets us fall,
Proudly it stands,
Yet, why do some people see it as a weakness?
Is it truly a strength, or a delicate veil?

I strongly believe love to be the most powerful,
The closest thing to magic.
A spell that binds us, unbreakable.
Yet, why do some people choose ambition over love?
When someone is ready to devote their all,
How do you deny the call?

"Long distance is hard"
NO. It is not,
Not for me,
Not for hearts which can truly beat as one,
Those who know the depths,
I will give up my soul to be with you,
To be near you, to hold you so close,
Just let me love you,
Let me love you.

I will stand by you through storm and calm,
I will be your warmth on the coldest nights,
I will be your epiphany in moments of doubt,
To show you love is never weak,
But the strongest of all,
Just let me be,
Let me be.

I always think to myself,
Will I ever find love's true wealth?
That all-consuming, eternal flame,
Everyone finds, but not the same.

I crave a man, not a childish boy,
One who brings more than fleeting joy.
I need a man who'd love through the storm,
Even if I transform, no longer warm.

He would still love me, I’d hold him tight,
He would still love me, through darkest night.
Would he? Could he? Stay by my side,
Through every storm, every tide?

What’s the point of love, if not to give your soul?
If not to make each other whole?
If you don't live for every shared glance,
What's the point of love, if you miss the dance?

What's the point of love, if lies prevail?
If you betray, then love will fail.
I will never comprehend such selfishness,
Deceitful hearts, no tenderness.

If that is love, then let me be,
Better off alone and free.

True love! After all,

the love potion was a fraud --

but who believes that?
Opera "L'elisir d'amore" ("The Love Potion", 1832, Gaetano Donizetti, libretto Felice Romani, based on Eugène Scribe's libretto of the opera "Le philtre" [The magic potion] from 1831), second act, final scene, Finale 2

Doesn't matter who
came first in your heart
as long as I was the one
who stayed
true to my love
for you.

you were never
alone...
.a quote.
first love only last as long as you stayed true to your love. sometimes the heart gets tired, it weathers as you stop nourishing its root - neglect and broken trust, a heart can die.

this one was on my draft since Jun 2018, i guess i was hesitant in sharing this because my one true love never came or appeared, its lonesome but it doesnt matter anymore. Like they say love will always arrive no matter how late.

The stars shine bright in the night sky
No clouds to be seen
You shined the brightest amongst them
Nothing could ever replace you
Emitting your presence from afar
Yet it feels close to me
Is someone out there is reaching out to me?
I was never alone all this time
There was always someone on the other side
She longed for me amongst the stars
There I go, following the bright path
Transcending amidst the pitch black sky
I found peace in her arms
Dear moonlight thank you
For now I have found tranquillity anew.
it's 3 years too late but it's worth it, right?

Two souls make one Home
Will you be my ride or die?
In your eyes i confide
My love for you is as the Ocean tyde
Pulling you in
We are ancestors of a lost city
Nothing about this is supposed to be ******
Two brains One heart
A complete work of art
How can everything be nothing and nothing be everything
How am I found yet i feel so lost
Learning to write again
Everything feels like Zen
As I write this for you with pen
You have inspired me and set me free
We are so much the same
I'm back on my game
Good luck taming me
Were changing rearranging proclaiming renaming fate
It's all in our hands
Baby let's get these bands
I hear the commands to conquer these lands I now understand for anything we can withstand
The gods have whispered in my ear loud and clear
Instilled me with fear that our time is near
From this sphere we will disappear
But for now lay your head on my chest
Your heart is free to rest
Please don't be depressed
This life is the last test

Ready am I, to make sacrifices for true love
For as long as I live
Spend less money, I can
Reduce my screen time, I can
Travel less, I can
Eat less sweet items, I can
Sleep less, maybe I can
Write less, maybe I can
However, there are certain things
On which I cannot compromise
Because I hate breaking promises
For me, is keeping my word everything!
For example, never can I change my character
After all, my principles are my anchors
Change my world views, I cannot
Show less love or affection, I cannot
Give up meat, I cannot
Stop travelling by train, I cannot
Compromise on my relationships with family or friends, I cannot
Irrespective of the gender
Because they are my bread and butter!!

Ready am I, to make sacrifices for true love
A lot, am I ready to give
My precious time, yes
My precious money, yes
My precious energy, yes
More confident, can I be
More assertive, can I be
More courageous, can I be
Smarter, can I be
Fitter, can I be
Humbler, can I be
More forgiving, can I be
Less hot-headed, can I be
Less stubborn, can I be
Less insecure, can I be
Less shy, can I be
However, the most important thing is to strike a balance
Find that middle path
Avoid extremes as far as possible
And last but not the least
It needs to be worth it!!
Poem on how much am I ready to sacrifice, in the event of falling in love.
In the dance of fate, our paths did cross,
Two souls entwined, neither at a loss.
In every glance, a world did unfold,
A tale of love, forever to be told.

In your eyes, I see the stars so bright,
Guiding me through the darkest night.
In your smile, the sun's warm embrace,
Lighting up my world, a radiant space.

Hand in hand, we walk this earth,
Our love a testament to its worth.
Bound by destiny, a cosmic plan,
Two hearts united, as one we stand.

Through the storms, we find our way,
Love's compass leading, come what may.
In every challenge, we find a way through,
For together, there's nothing we can't do.

In this journey, together we'll remain,
Two souls forever, love's sweet refrain.
Destined to be, forever and a day,
In each other's arms, forever to stay.

Introduction

During the thirteenth reign of king Josiah, the spirit of Yahweh came upon Johnson the scribe,

Then suddenly at once, he penned down what's now known as: The chambers of pleasure from the priestly tribe.

One day however, the detestable pagan Philistines, burned up the much adored work of art,

And when the entire community of Israel found out, they all mourned with a heavy heart.

But with the guidance of the ever beautiful and compassionate archangel, Victoria,

I, Tamar, discovered a secret copy between the border of Judah and Samaria.

Twelve elegantly worded songs in all, were composed onto a scroll by the man of God, Most High,

They will stand the test of time, for they were inspired by  Yahweh, who'll never let his servant's words die!

Song 1:
The Man

Darling, darling, cutie pie,

You're the apple of my eye.

Never will I leave your side,

Love you always til I die.

Song 2:
The Man

Anytime I gaze up at the sky,

My thoughts immediately race to you, my dearest wife.

Without you I would break down and cry,

For you're the one good thing that ever happened in my life.

Song 3:
The Woman

Kiss me with a thousands kisses, sweet hubby,

My rosy cheeks are in need of your warm soft lips.

Altogether faithful, pure and lovely,

One in a great sea of billions, my perfect Prince.

Song 4:
The Woman

Life without you my dear husband, would be very painful,

For you honestly are the closest thing to an angel.

The sheer thought of losing you would surely tear me apart,

So don't ever leave me alone in this vile world, sweetheart.

Song 5:
The Man

Doubt at one time managed to convince me  I would forever be lonely,

But then one day, you came into my life and now you're my one and only.

Song 6:
The Man and The Woman

Precious wife, this body of mine belongs only to you,

Your love is my antidote anytime I'm feeling blue.

Sweet husband, my body is yours to do as you see fit,

To you alone my love, do I wholeheartedly submit.

Song 7:
The Woman

Once I was in love its true,

But my heart got torn in two,

So I vowed never to love again, no matter what.

But my broken heart you fixed,

When we fell in love and kissed,

And thus I thought it best to give love a second shot.

Song 8:
The Woman

Forever will I treasure the day you proposed to me,

Deep within my heart I always knew we were meant to be.

Song 9:
The Man

My heart often skips a beat whenever I am with you,

You are the centre of my universe and my wish come true.

Song 10:
The Man

Oh Yahweh Most High who rules from above,

Please let me grow old with my one true love.

No one but my wife makes me feel so free,

Only she fills my heart with utter glee.

Song 11:
The Woman

All my life, not a single living soul gave me the time of day,

But you appeared and with your love, melted my broken heart away.

Song 12:
The Woman and The Man

The Woman:

Oh darling husband!

When im old and weary and my beauty is no more, will you still love me? will you still care?

Oh my precious wife!

In this life and the next will you forever be mine. Never will I forsake you, I swear.

The Man:

Oh apple of my eye!

Whenever times are rough and money is tight will your love for me grow cold?

Oh love of my life!

Forever will I be by your side. My love for you will never wax old!

The Woman:

My rock and soul mate!

Just as the golden sun brightens the whole world with her warm presence,

So too do you brighten my broken spirit with your warm essence.

The Man:

My one true love!

You are as beautiful as the early morning sunrise,

And as pleasing to the eye as the nightime fireflies.

The Woman:

My world!

Even if you were to forsake me, my burning love for you would always remain alight,

The Man:

My beloved!

And even if you were to forsake your vows, my love for you would continue to burn bright!

End
One of the bible's treasures, Song of Songs, or Song of Solomon, is a personal favorite of mine. This poem was inspired by its beauty.

Loves of my December,
frozen from the beginning
of my endings,
and the fall of my anguish.

In the winter of my solitude,

I trace the wrinkles
of fainting memories.
Breathing out a sigh of surrender
for the unspoken, the paths
unwalked, the doors unopened,
and the ghosts of love that remain
draped in the painful cloak of longing.

Yet, amidst the cold, I find grief
blooming like a flower in the snow.

For in the mirror of my December
I have found not just
the echo of what was lost,
But the prayers of April—
the goddess of renewal,
the angels of spring,
and the dawn of new beginnings.

How can I not rejoice?
For in this darkness,
there is light…
