In the dawn of days, dwells the awe of reverence.
In the thought of dwellers, can the awe be thread.

Within the small things, herein lies the pieces.
The pieces that make-up the direction of things that exist.

For the boulders at a mountain's mighty face, are no more important than the stones that form the base.
For it is in the reverence that we craft love from awe.

Blessed are those who sit and watch, for they are the architects of reverence - the constructors of awe.
Inspired from my pondering of the importance of reverence.

An intense face in its most general form and comprehensive sense, it signifies a rule of action, that applies its indiscriminately to all kinds of action and emotion, whether animate or inanimate, rational or irrational.

We have very little time on Earth
to write.

Keep it brief.

please don't talk to me about how i'm feeling
please just--
hold me a little bit longer, a little bit closer,
a little bit less like i'm tearing your soul from your heart
and more like i put it back together (because i did, i helped);

your blue eyes are brighter than a fast food sign even when they're glazed
like a sloppy coat of paint
and your breath stills feels like summer's relief,
but your kisses are stilted and hesitant,
like you're as consumed with concern as i am,
and dearest love, we only have the energy for one of us to fall apart
at a time.

(can i have my turn first?)

All of my best
(And worst) thoughts
Can be traced
Back to a foreign city
Where I walked the streets
Alone, at night
A short poem from when I spent a summer alone in New York City

You convince yourself to stay where you are
because you're afraid of wading in waters you don't know.
You believe it won't be better than where you are now,
but you know you're not happy
You deserve better.

You feel ungrateful for what's be given to you,
but you matter too.
Unhappy is unhappy.
Don't let it sit. Don't let it dwell.

You convince yourself that certain things outweigh the others.
The small things matter too.
You're allowed to be upset,
but you'll never allow yourself.
You deserve better.

Selfie... Selfie... The trends been going selfeye...

With this trend comes a blend, pouts... like they are kissing themselves for being screen ******

With social media in place, selfie is the one with pace

They even got an app out for it instagram, that make people instapout

People get 1000 likes for posting instant selfie, giving false notion of that they are friendly

People chatting all night long becoming woolly when it comes to confront with face on

Do you know the fun fact, selfie kills more than shark bites

Futile competition of FRIENDS + LIKES = NARCISSISTIC PERSONALITY over the time

Close ones want to know how are you doing, a mere picture of you is just a façade

So when are you dialing that number in your phone, just to know how you forgot to talk

The very same social media that promise to bridge the gap, made you incapable of having a conversation with the very same friend’s list you flaunt
What is a selfie ?

I am wounded.

My heart is torn.
Like a shattered pane of glass,
The pieces are sharp and rigid.
It appears I am broken.
It appears.

You dig your hand deep into my pile of pieces,
And you put me back together.
You are cut.
It appears.

Countless times I sit wondering why I am such a mess.
Until you came.

You put me back together.
You hurt for me.

I am healed.

I’ve been snacking all morning.
Chips,
Fruit,
Soda,
Even a delicious scotcheroo.
But now it’s lunch time and I have nothing
Left....
So I sit here idly staring out the window.
Thinking of the snacks I had just hours earlier;
Wishing I’d saved them for this moment.

The light of the vending machine glows in my peripheral vision.
Snacks and treats begging to be bought for the measly sum of $1.
All those snacks I could have,
But I’ll just look out this window.
Enjoying my break without lunch.
Something a little different for the odd day I’m having
