The way the sun filters
through the window,
switching over the dashboard
as we change directions.
Creating freckles on your skin.
The way it makes your hair glint
red,
spreading out to flicker in your
eyes.

sometimes life, it hurls pain at our window
we are forced to dodge deafening blows
touch the glass, just to pray it won't shatter
take a chance, just to see how it goes

but the trials that we face could destroy us
the decision: cave in or survive
and sometimes we feel like we're dying
whilst the fire in our veins stays alive

but the pain that we feel simply tests us
we tell a story with every scar
one day we'll sit back and remember
while rejoicing in all that we are

when the light filters through in the morning
the shadows at your door will subside
as your strength rises up with the sunlight
you'll forget all the tears that you cried

Coffee rings stain my desk
And your fingerprints mark
Where your hands lingered
Last night in the dark

The morning sun shines bright
And your hair spills across the bed
I can't focus on anything
As you fill my head

Your arms stretch towards the ceiling
And I smile as you catch my eye
I think to myself again
How I never want to say goodbye

Faerie flitting through the trees
Please, oh please, don't come near me
I don't want your taunts and tricks
Your words are worse than stones and sticks

Though you look so fine and pretty
With your voice that's so bewitching
Your fair, fair face hides mischief well
And all the secrets you won't tell

Your glistening wings, they flutter fast
As you loop and circle past
Lost in the maze of tangled leaves
A shining speck on the summer breeze
The sunlight turned
Your mousy brown hair
Into strings of gold
And killed the air so cold

The sunlight turned
Your frown upside-down
And stitched the gaps shut
Within this heart of mine

The sunlight turned
The abomination we made
Into a helpless heap of snow
And we didn't worry much about it

I'd **** to see more days
With us under the sunlight
Over in five minutes.

You turned to me and said everything looks better in the sunlight
The way you feel it sink into your weary bones and for a moment everything In the world seems right

I couldn't argue as I watched it dancing on your skin
I had always been more fond of moonlight and it's subtle promise of impending sin

I drank you in

Nothing will ever be as sweet as cheap red wine sipped while you held me like a secret
Now memories are the only thing keeping me warm, but there is nothing to regret

Sunlight filters through
Your own colourful viewpoint
Your green is not mine

She walked. While I shuffled my feet and stared at the ground.
Lights. Dancing around her in neon moonlit sound.
Grey rainclouds, they hummed a mournful tune
But I kept walking, and I tried to make a little room.
She turned, and the sun crept out and gave a little grin.
He smiled, awed at the sight in front of him but,
I mustered up, and sent her a slight return
And with a wave, she kissed away my concern-
Now we're walking. I can't speak a word.
The shy duck with the beautiful red bird,
We flew off; And soared high in the sky-
The sun had set, slightly reflected while I'm...
Bold as Love.
We're all... Bold as Love.
And I'm Bold as Love.
Just ask the Axis.
Jimi, words can never say.
