Through transient lives, a cause
stands immortal.
This is based of one of my earlier poems that I wrote but it is true.
Thank you all for the people who loved Lesson Learned #57!
I was in shock when I logged in and got over 50 notifications for one poem!
First time it's happened to me.
I'm super grateful!

You want someone to fix your life,
Forget it, take some advice,
You have to fix it yourself,
Move your ownself,
Or it will rot on a shelf.
Be your own boss,
Earn your own money with no loss,
Have your own powers,
Don't be obligated or intimidated by others.
Don't turn to be validated by any one,
All these will happen,
People will learn to respect you,
Your dear ones will be proud of you.
I was at such a stage when I thought life was unfair to me.Then I fought back and I have everything I deserve.

I stand in the middle of nothingness.
I wait for something to come by but nothing does.
I wait a little longer, still nothing.
No rain, No sun, No clouds, Nothing.

It’s just me I’m alone in nothing.
Then I realize that in nothingness lies everything,
The color, The crowds, and everything else.
I’m not alone. I have my nothing.
But that's just my dream.

I hold every thing.
This was written in my freshman year of highschool and I'm really happy to be able to share it.

the thing about us is
we're on the verge of something
something beautiful? maybe
something disastrous? maybe

the thing about us is
it wasn't always like this
how could i have known
the day you told me your name
that someday i would always remember it?

and you were there
you were there when i cried
you were there when i laughed
you were there when i had all the stories
so i am not used to you being absent

and i was there
when everything was unfair
when the world seemed to hate you
when there was nowhere left to run

and in the way that things are
it all got messed up
the very day i stared at my ceiling
and i knew that it was you

and the thing is
it rarely ever works out the way we want it to
it rarely ever gives us the chance

but if i was allowed
if circumstances were different
i would have found you again
and i would have told you every word
and i would have drawn every line for you

but the thing is
i will stay where i am right now
i know where i stand
and it is not by your side
holding your hand

I have never understood
why people gravitate towards light
when it blinds the eyes that cannot adjust
when it can be traitorous

how long have they taught us to reach for light
to reach for a hope that is not really there?
how long have we been fooled that it is purely good
that it will be the salvation of all?

I have found more comfort in darkness
for it does not choke the life out of the shadows
for it does not parch the lands with its severity
for it does not deprive

and i do know
that with darkness there lurks an evil
a doubt that traps you in its embrace
a danger within the shadows

i have been so afraid of such a love
so afraid that they will cast me out because of what i want
for it is not what they dream of
for the shadows are their fear

but i will stand by it
because in darkness
i have found the cure
for the unending light

Sir Knight, Sir Knight
please hear their plight
Beasts are attacking the land

They target the weak
the gentle and meek
It's time to take a stand!

but Sir Knight, Sir Knight
why show you such fright?
How quickly your courage fades

"I surrendered my sword"
said the cowering lord
"and let beasts devour the maids"

I see, Said I
as I tried not to cry
You lack both a sword and a spine

Those you swore to protect
now lie derelict
you are no hero of mine

Although I have no sword
I shall serve as their ward
and show there is still honor in men

I will fight for the weak
for the broken and meek
I'll not allow monsters to win.

Reader what about you?
Will you join in too,
and fight with sharpened blades?

or will you sit in the dust
as your sword starts to rust
and beasts devour the maids
When Knights Surrender Their Swords, Beasts Shall Devour Maidens.
