I'm just four
To five
Seconds from leaving
This place
Ten long seconds of dying,
After eight
Long days of wanting your
Hand by my side
I swear no one can lift me up higher

If I could claim just six
Short
Seconds of talking
Or maybe a couple
More
Days
To just be by your side
I promise
I would survive

Fog
On those mornings,
and days,
weeks
that last for years
where my head is foggy
every second,
foggily upset
and unable to grasp
what the real problem is
if there is an actual problem to begin with
the best thing to do
is not make any decisions
'cause you'll regret them
forever.

In the midst of a crowd
In the middle of chaos
In the ****** of deep thoughts
Came the best five seconds of my life

It took my a jiffy
To recognize that bag
To remember that hairstyle
To realize that presence

And I was right
It is really you
After days of longing
You came and ended my suffering

To say that it was short
To mention my obliviousness
To describe that moment
Five seconds is already enough

Everything was in slow motion
At that moment, it was only you
My attention zeroed to your figure
It was the longest five seconds of my existence

Today, I thank the heavens
For letting you appear in my most stressful hour
I thank them with all my heart
For coming at my least expected place

Now, I can finally face tomorrow
With a smile extending to my ears
A mind contented with thoughts of you
And a heart fulfilled with pure bliss

See you soon, my dear
*I'll patiently wait for our next five seconds of sanity.
LOL! this is a part two of longing....

I would like you all to buy my novel's eBook @
www.amazon.com/dp/aw/B00MYY0DMA/
or
www.amazon.in/dp/aw/B00MYY0DMA/
which is the link to my novel's eBook. Its title is 7 Seconds which has sold around 20 copies by now with positive reviews by its few readers.
A Facebook fan page at www.facebook.com/7SecondsAKS has already gathered a large following just from the introduction.

You'll need a credit card or an internationally enabled debit card for this purpose.

After the extremely serious accident on 7th of May in 2010 which had me on the brink of dying a comatose death, I'm in a transition from my bachelor's degree to a master degree.

I need to independently bear my medical expenses. The story is awesome and is definitely going to impress you. 7 Seconds is a novel that contains many story-related poems.

It is a fast paced story of more than 100,000 words which traces its origins from my real life and is then entirely a fiction. It has the flavours of teen fiction, romance novel, sci-fi, spirituality, anti-terrorism, tourism and the unmistakable tangy Desi flavour of India.

Trust my word. Buy the fabulous story. I couldn't get it published in hard copy because of the corrupt Indian system which also has entangled the youth of India.

If you like my poems, you are going to love my novel.

In today's date, hard copy of a novel is both taxing on the Environment and the buyer. An eBook is not only far more economical and greener than a conventional novel but also it is more easily accessible on a handheld device.

All I can say is that I request you to do your bit both for the environment, and also for your beloved poet who wants to bear his medical expenses on his own till his studies get completed.
Not a poem but a hopeful request. Try this Indian poetical novelist's story.

8450 plus one. But you are always ahead of me by 84.
But this doesn't stop me from trying to catch up to you. I can try and fill those 120960 moments with my leaps over cracks in the sidewalk to reach your side.
Yet you've whispered to me, I'm not a digit over 7355. That you've watched the ticker count, and it announces every 1440 moments that  7355 has not changed for 1040 repetitions.
I can hear in your exhale that staring at the defunct device has been in vain. That your desires, for it to be somewhere near your own 8534, are blatantly not occurring. I feel the heat of your blood as the rush fills your mind that if you stare any longer, your counter will pause too.
You tell me that there has been a problem regarding my recorder and there is nothing you could do because you had to tend to your own to ensure it wouldn't falter.
You don't know that I am a mechanic. And I diligently examine the mechanism. The gears for the face in mine have not been greased.
I had always just kept the clock wound - forgetting that it is useless for a watch to move forward, if it never displays the correct time.

It should've taken me seconds
To unhook this rusting bracelet
It should've taken me seconds
To just take it off and let it go

But instead I took hours

Hours fiddling,
Trying
So desperately
To free myself from its grasp
Itching to get it off
Restless,
I sit, tugging
On the charms weighing me
Down by each passing second

I don't understand
It should've taken me seconds

But instead I took days

Days choking
On the charms that used to be
My wrist is scratched, broken
My hands are red, tired
Eyes focused and
Mind set
On letting go
of the one thing pulling me down

I want it off

So why
Why can't I do it

I don't understand
It should have taken me seconds
I found this in my notes and almost forgot I was the one who wrote it hahah I vaguely remember writing this at around 2am
Tick tick tock
Chimes the clock
As the hands spin in circles
Never to return
Once it's gone we must learn
That the time will never come back
And why oh why
Did I waste my time
On you

You sided with her
When the fight broke out
When I critized her
You would scream and shout
Why did I waste the time

I tried my best
To always please you
I would act as though the things
You did
Never bothered me too
Why did I waste the time

I tried to get your attention
Worried about clothes and hair
But when I came
You were know one knew where
Why did I waste the time

You'd cowar and scream
Giggle and hide
You knew nothing about love
Yet I stuck along in your tide
Why did I waste the time

And finally when I broke off
The foolish thing that was us
I realized I was fine
Even though you would cry and fuss
So I think to myself
Why did I waste the time
Time is a precious thing, as the clock ticks away a second that second is gone forever so be careful what you spend your time on. And cherish those who spend time on you. They are giving you the greatest gift of all and they know it can never be returned.
86,400
seconds in a day
yet
it took just
three of them
to make mine
one for every word you said,
“I love you.”
