I’m a riddle in nine syllables,
A building with so many levels,
With two big windows, hiding secrets.
Adequate, presentable outside,
Labyrinthine, ramshackle inside.
Everyone becomes disillusioned.
Who’ll fix this piece of architecture?
Who will tend it, patch it up, love it?
Maybe someday, someone will. Who knows?
This is a poem I wrote last year, freshman year, for an English assignment. It's not one of my best, but I just thought I'd share it.

there are seven billion puzzles
on this third rotating planet
each one has their troubles
in this world that we inhabit

these seven billion mysteries
hold secrets left unshared
they all have their histories
but their futures make them scared

and these seven billion riddles
leave you speechless, without answers
with pieces missing from their middles
we're unconscious of their cancer
I always found the idea that everyone is a puzzle that can never be completely solved to be both a beautiful and a devastating concept at the same time. People are fascinating.

I am the mask, satin-smooth,
As fine as gossamer silk.
I glide like a veil of falling snow
Over cracks, over fissures
Filling every nook and cranny
That mars this blemished world.
Beneath the gaze of man,
I am an enigma, a subtle glamour.
I am the rosy hue of the ripest apples,
A painted glance that cuts to the heart.
I am both light and darkness,
The faint memory of a kiss.
I am a thing of perfection
But only look – never touch!
Take your best guess!  Feel free to PM me for the solution.

They cut me down to free
The warmth they saw in me.

mister wick had a secret
that was too wicked to be told
master win lived in winter
with a heart so cold
mister wick burned himself
with words bought and sold
many springs have come and gone
win has become old
magician had the sea of seasons
wizard his wizardry
war never warrants a pardon
for a legend legendary
magic for a tragic clock
a cloth for a face to hide
when he killed the winter
his grin was grim and wide
the secret was cold then
words had lost a tongue
the other king was dead and
the heart was still young
another winter to howl for
now that his dear is dead
the lone king wears a crown
on winters wicked head
as snow begins to fall again

Lost in spontaneous emotion
deciphering each emotion
that surface's
assembling the jigsaw of
self.

Omnipresence of void
Nothing but insatiable
Universe throws riddles
Inexplicable for mankind
Changing so eloquently
Every particle shifts
Clandestine movements
Sometimes roaring upheavals
Renewing the void
None can decipher the puzzle
Lost in the labyrinth
Life here has no clue
It’s an elliptical tour
Pivoted precariously
Answers shall not reveal
More challenges for us
With some vagueness
We blindly walk ahead
Not sure of our destination
It’s a tour of the void
Memories are erased
Birthed are new riddles
We are not here for ever
In the void’s omnipresence

I still love you
My love to you has not decreased one drop

Do not be afraid ..
My love is a Sea of drops
However, you're puzzled about two things

The first riddle:
You have given a candle to time
The second riddle:
You have taken a torch light from mine
The love riddle answers will be revealed later

She feels like a ruined fortress:
shaking, now shattering, now gone astray,
now digging up, creating a dark hole;
deep enough to lock herself away
with her raging riddles' ablaze desire
to reach him with their throbbing hands.

"How can such a lovely thing
be surged with so much pain?"
He murmur softly in her ears,
and all she can hear are words
like poison keeping her blaze at bay.

And then she cries, she cries not tears
but blood streaming down her fence,
blotting with marks of his name—
once a nirvana to her, now a wasteland
crammed with thunderous cries
of her cluttered self letting last words escape,
"I was once a serene citadel,
now just a lovely thing for someone
mastering the art of constructing lies."
