I collapsed, the ground gave way
The earth, it trembled and it quaked
I thought that I would tear asunder
Ripped by each blight, botch, and blunder.
Could I ever overcome?
Not alone, no, not alone.
The world screamed until I was numb—
Like them, I thought I was alone.
When hardship comes and runs its course
When I am bashed by every force
When I feel sullied and abhorred—
Christ says, “You are not alone”.

I sit with him under a tree
Where me and her once sat.
We both shared secrets and stories
We'd always talk, no matter where we were at

They both said things I keep in my heart
I can hear their words in the back of my mind
Only one is in the past, and one is now
Will you be the friend I've been longing to find?

Me and her would talk everyday
Until one day she decided to leave
Me and her don't talk everyday
But remembering her won't make me grieve

Our connection is growing fast
You're a person I want to remember
Will this end up like the last?
And will you please be her?
this is my 19th poem, written on 8/18/23. spoiler alert: he did not end up like her :(

I’m just the moon, wandering through
You’re the sun, adding shine to the morning dew

You stack up your compliments every day and night
While others insult the moon and start to fight

Now we are next to each other, and people assume
That you’re the better option and ignore me in the room

You light up the day, and I only darken it
You stood up for me, but only told me to sit

Nobody could ever live without you
Without me, they’ll still be attracted to you like glue

I’m jealous of all the people you adore
But they see me as only an aching sore

Maybe one day we’ll make a solar eclipse
But now our relationship is only a wisp

Now you and your band begin to sing
While I’m only watching from the wing
This is the 7th poem I’ve ever written, created on 12/22/22

clamoring voices
twist and turn
around me
melodies strange
each utterance
a puzzle,
a din
unbearable

I watch them
laughter rises
like smoke from fire
merry-making
joy
in their faces

I stand
at the banks
of their flowing
mother tongue,
I cannot cross;
I feel the divide

the song
of my culture
the lyrics
I cannot sing
lost in
the sound
understanding
eludes me

traditions and dances
warmth
of their fire
a distant craving
too distant
I feel nothing
but bitterness

lights dimming
the weight of
shame
bears down
upon me;
I shall know
no release

Is to feel heard.

As I sit with only the gulf as my friend,
I know.
In the darkness of the night,
With its chills never-ending, I know.

I will never know how it feels
To be understood.

I have been listened to before,
Comforted and held.
But nobody understands.

I sit on the concrete ledge.
Sand and waves below me.

The waves know, what I feel.
The solitude in a sea of water.
Never alone, yet never supported.

The music in my ears,
The waves crashing below me,
And the chilling night sky,
They all know.

And yet.
I am the only of us four,
To feel, to bleed emotion.
I will never know
How it feels
To Be Understood.

Sometimes wondering
where I’m going
Missing people
who believed in me

Feeling empty, guilty, angry
Loneliness and more within me

Losing sight of hope
But a spark stays here.

Feeling much better because many things changed after trauma therapy for me. But I barely remember how I went through the last months of the last year. If you're still in this dark place, please keep looking for solution and help. You are not alone and isolation isn't the answer. As much as it costs you to ask for help, reach out to a center or doctor, friend or family member. Please do it. Talk about your problems. Your problems aren't your fault. It is a heavy burden to carry and you deserve all the support you need to overcome it. I believe in you.

I'm all alone,
Once again...

My empty home is
Devoid of friends.

Still, some,  they call,
Or show at odd hours,
To share a few drinks,
Or maybe some flower.

It's been a year, or
Nearly two,
Since I've left this house
With something to do.

My skin has gone pale;
It's deathly white,
It's been so long since
I've seen sunlight,

The sun feels so bright,
That star from afar,
Still I shun its gift,
And it shows with the sight.

Of me.

I can't explain why I
Simply stay inside,
Instead of living life,
Taking things in stride.

But still I rise with dry eyes,
And unlike some,
I feel a peace.

A freedom to choose
Whether to rise,
Or follow my
Wild heartbeat.
This poem is literally how I've been living lately. I rarely leave my house; when I've gone outside, I notice that my skin is so white I can see the veins now.  Yeah.  My mental issues have gotten worse; I can't work. Dealing with people is pretty hard, meds or not. But I still get up every morning, and sometimes, there's still friends who support me.

The inept waves of loneliness felt
are but a sign we are human;

Weaving shattered pieces of misery together
in hopes of being perceived
as complete again;

Apprehension clouding the mortal ideas
we call emotions.
we're all alone at some point, are we not?

You made me feel lonely
What you did was very ugly
I loved you and you cheated on me
In fact, you BETRAYED me
Because of you, did I go into depression
Very very wrong, were your actions
Thanks to them, greatly did I suffer
For me, not even one bit did you care!

You made me feel lonely
I thought you were lovely
How cruelly did you prove me wrong
My suffering was quite long
You drove a wedge into my heart
And tore it apart!!

You made me feel lonely
And treated me very badly
Thanks to you, did my self-belief shatter
Because, you struck at my very core
Sending shockwaves all over my soul
And effectively trapping me in a prison cell!!

You made me feel lonely
While you played a game coolly
Trying to destroy my relationships
With my family and my best friend
And trapping me in a toxic relationship
Which seemed as if it would never end!!

You made me feel lonely
But I came back strongly
Thanks to my sister and my best friend
To your twisted games, did they put an end
You tried to break me
But my goodness set me free
While you will eternally feel guilty
For your treachery and infidelity
Yes, you made me feel lonely indeed
However, from the trauma have I recovered
And learnt a lesson for life
Goodbye forever, my "poor little" ex-wife!!
Poem on how my cunning and treacherous ex-wife made me feel lonely and broke my heart.

The method is slow
And probably dangerous

From your telescope
Fewer and fewer places
No advancing horizon

Are you rendering again?

Two miles of uncertainty
Too much undergloom
You don't remember his face

It's war of attrition
A home for you
No place to run
No place to hide
To live is to die slowly
