i just wish i could know the me that everyone else sees.
i wanna see the me that people see as a safe space,
the me that people look up to,
the me that people fall in love with.

i want to see someone i wouldn’t hate every time i go to wash my face and see myself in the mirror.
the one who doesn’t cry every night.
the one who sleeps.

i wanna see the beautiful person i hear so much about.
until i get to actually see that me, everything good i hear about me is a lie

Every person is the exact same:
To tell the truth they always claim,
But when in need, so full of pride,
They pack their luggage, then go hide.

In the end, all of that trust
Makes me shrivel with disgust.
Your soul will alter if you lie
Memento mori, we all die!

the sun
shines bright
warm hues explode from the center
but the beauty of the sun was so enticing
that the moon wanted to reach out
but as soon as she touched the blazing star
she was burnt

in the same way, i tried to reach out to you
but all you did was burn me
what did i do?
burn alive, in the hope that you would notice me
and you wept next to my ashes as if you cared
if only that was true
i was devoured by your fire ,, yet you didn't bat an eye until i was gone

a shell, a rock, valueless
token of exchange
Cain's creation, perhaps,
impelled by hunger and his mark

today a non attributable lie
a picture of true faith
- but the sword still stands -
speaks more truth than any word can

deeper its insidious roots grow
for the greater its seeming efficacy
displacing the currency of love
for my enemies love me as themselves

but the lie is true
gnawing from the inside out
from nations, to businesses, to people,
a soulless heartless ******* remains

by the sword you live, by the sword you die

I love you
Is the lie told
Most frequently
Of all the others
A "poem" every day.

"Are you okay?"

They always say.

"I'm fine." I reply.

But you know, I lie.

I lie that I'm glad.

I lie that I'm not sad.

They never know what's inside.

They never know what I hide.

I lie and say that I'm filled with joy.

I lie and say my demon isn't trying to destroy.

I lie about a lot of things.

And you know, false happiness it brings

My life's a book
A neverending story
Full of drama
And gore and glory
I invite you to read me
Or be a chapter
I promise you'll lay
Amazed and enraptured
Because not only I
Have a fable to tell
It's surreal and unreal
And would put you under spell
So be my guest
Please grab a corner
Flip through the pages
And stand enamoured

lieve me say you know
nothing of the way things work, as elements of all
things
working together,
y'know,

As God, in Asgard, possibly dependent on
POV
he, God Almighty.

speaks, he says,

shhhh,
wait here and see.
ah, yes. I am a poet knowing et and re greting the layers of lies that must be peeled, like cataracts.

LIE
you smile and lie
and i would have to lie
if somebody asks me if it hurts
guess
this is just the normal game of you and I
