If it were easy,
it wouldn't be worth it.
If it were worth the pain,
there'd be sacrifice.
If...
above all else....
it is what you live for..
in the end..
it is what you die for.
And we cannot distract ourselves
one day
we cannot forget ourselves
stave off the hunger
for something felt
one day
judgement is inevitable...
one day
the offer is no good anymore.

Even after the worst suffering there will come a time

when you are strong enough not to look back

and do the things necessary to move on in your life

*even if this means leaving behind your most beloved

Falling for you was inevitable.
Late night realizations.

people say, "expect the worst." well, i say, "expect the inevitable."

sometimes in life, we always think there's an end to everything; a negative end, a sad death of something, that we'd get the idea of not living anymore and join a dead person or relationship in the grave. but in reality, death isn't always about end either, because after a death, you move on. we can't expect a death or an end, and that's it... we have to move on. i think moving on is inevitable. we may not notice it, but soon we find ourselves being okay with the fact that a relative's six feet under or that we don't get sweet 'goodnight' messages from a significant one. we just keep pressing forward and surviving the remaining days of our lives. living just as we used to, only, with a better perspective of everything around us, especially with the inevitable.

Sleep always wins the war.
The dead never rise,
The living always sink
Into the darkness.

Lethargy succumbs to nothing,
And no matter the struggle,
There is no circumvention of sleep.
No evasion of death.

We all end the same.

I've seen pain, so much pain.

I've seen him stagger out of a bar
and have absolutely nothing in his eyes.

I've seen her run down the streets in
6 inch heels, screaming with fear.

I've seen the little girl squeeze her eyes
shut when she hears her mom and dad
curse each other.

I've seen the old man worn down by
battle scars with nothing to cover
himself but a painstakingly worn down jacket.

But mostly I've seen this whole world
slowly then quickly diminish from
all the negativity and hurt that surrounds it.

And it's inevitable that I will be responsible.

You cannot hide from what is to come
Whether you know it's coming or not

But to know not of what is to come
Is a true blessing,
As knowing your fate
Leaves only space to wait

And waiting, is not living
But rather an inescapable torture

You cannot hide from the inevitable.
