Hey there - sleepy head,

Today is a brand new day. You are going to face a countless number things, people, and words today, good and bad. The main thing I want you to remember when you face this day is that you are so incredibly brave. You are fearless in the face of despair and rejoyce with passion at the sound of a good song. You have all the potential of a great day locked inside you, all you need to do is find the key. Be patient with yourself and remind yourself of the little happy things in life - nothing too small. Romanticize this world and everything in it because you only get this one life, lets make it a glorious one.

Love,
You

PS- You can do this. Walk into that building with grace and peace. Let your inner ocean be calmed by the tranquility of the breeze. Yes, you are a hurricane of a girl but only YOU get to decide when to storm.

I love the sound of rain
It fills a heart that swoons with
Memories and pain that never go away

I love the sound of rain
Gale force winds and rumbling thunder
Rain delicate destruction down on
An Earth that’s deserving

I love the sound of rain
It silences the crackle of
Every warm campfire and its songs
Provides wet tinder for my match to burn

I love the sound of rain
I love the sky as it darkens and
All light leaves the world as it pours
Sky opens with tears of heaven
Weeping for a broken Earth I’m

Not sure if I like the rain
There’s no Sun left to guide behind
Burdened clouds
And Time become still

I think I hate the rain

When Earth was still young
It rained 10 million years
Before void wasteland
Became beautiful Ocean

It rains a lot over here
I am not sure
If it ever stops raining

chase the clouds away
anger in its wake
a hurricane, a storm
frustration takes form
let my rain speak
let it be gentle
but let the sky darken over it
let the waves toss ships
and let the wind destroy your home
let the cyclone
awaken your caution

but it's all in my head
Held it all in hhahahah

I really never use the word hate
But boy do I hate when people ask me if I’m okay
Mainly because I can never gather the words
To tell them how I really feel. But if
You’re looking for my answer to that question
It goes a little something like this.
“No I’m not okay. I’m breaking into a million
Pieces right in front of everyone and no one notices.
I’m losing weight and it’s not from working out.
My thoughts are creating a hurricane in my brain
And I can not calm the storm.
My heart is a battlefield at war with my mind
And I’m afraid I’m losing this battle.”
But wait there’s more...
“My nose hurts from snorting to many lines of insecurity, my arms are weak from trying to pull myself out of all this self doubt and worry, my wrists are wounded from the cuts I allowed others to make.
My smile has been playing hide and seek for awhile now and I’m still searching for it... by the time I find it I may just be 6 feet under.. which doesn’t sound like
A bad idea... I’m tired. I want to sleep.
I think I’m going to take the rest of this pain medicine
Because this pain is to deep, the wounds won’t heal
And hell im tired of feeling. So I think I want to sleep.
Yeah. That’s what I want to do sleep and be at peace”  But instead I’ll smoke this blunt filled
With fake I love yous and it’ll be alrights, to numb the pain for a little while. Instead I’ll drink this whiskey until I’ve drowned out all this feeling. Instead I’ll just say goodnight and sleep to forget about being alive for a little while. But trust me “I’m okay”

I am a monster
I have to be obeyed-
beware of my wrath
10/10/2018 - Poetry form: Haiku - I wrote this 3 days after Hurricane Michael decimated Mexico Beach, Florida. By the way, most of my haiku are 5-7-5, but they do not have to be. For example, the first place winner of the 2000 Henderson haiku contest, sponsored by the Haiku Society of America: ~ meteor shower ~ a gentle wave ~ wets our sandals - That winning haiku is 5-4-4. The poet, Michael Dylan Welch, had this to say about the matter: "With English-language haiku, you have no need to persist in any adherence to the... 5-7-5 syllables." It’s been so long that we have been together
Though many years have passed I’m yours forever
I can’t stop thinking 'bout the fun we’ve had
Our life together is still super rad

It’s just a hurricane of love
          ~Coming our way~
Still a hurricane of love
          ~Double red flag warning~
Just a hurricane of love
          ~Blowing us away~
Still a hurricane of love
          ~Flooding our emotions~

This is the calm before the storm above
And we are trapped in an eyewall of love
Gusts of desire drive us to our fate
It’s way too late now to evacuate

It’s just a hurricane of love
          ~Coming our way~
Still a hurricane of love
          ~Double red flag warning~
Just a hurricane of love
          ~Blowing us away~
Still a hurricane of love
          ~Flooding our emotions~

These Cat 5 feelings we just cannot stop
Emotions whirling like a spinning top
Your riptide pulls me in so ever deep
Storm surge of love so strong it makes me weep

It’s just a hurricane of love
          ~Coming our way~
Still a hurricane of love
          ~Double red flag warning~
Just a hurricane of love
          ~Blowing us away~
Still a hurricane of love
          ~Flooding our emotions~

It’s just a hurricane of love
          ~Coming our way~
We keep each other wanting more
          ~Double red flag warning~
Still a hurricane of love
          ~Blowing us away~
We’re not in Kansas anymore
          ~Flooding our emotions~
It’s just a hurricane of love
          ~Storm surge of desire~
Still a hurricane of love
          ~Rising higher and higher~

Still a hurricane of love…

Then you said;
"Chaos is better than an unknown peace."
So I have only one question right now.
Will you dive into the middle of the storm with me?
In the eye of a hurricane, there is quiet,
For just a moment, a yellow sky.
Let there be all our chaos around us.
I'll be okay with you by my side.
Let it rush and stream,
Destroy everything and the wind flow.
We might only hear the quiet,
But we won't view the world through a window.
We'll be right in the middle of all there is,
And we won't need to hide it.
Hurricane, hurricane, hurricane,
Inside it, houses flying with gardens,
Different elements and temperaments.
Cows, cars, and pennies are flying,
Green, gray and grim trees are flying;
Sights pop up and fly away.
Inside it, there's me,
Sometimes in houses,
But mainly flying.
It's a hurricane,
Hurricane,
Again.

We bond fantastically :
You feed me mice and rice
You feed me bones and roses
And hi speed wi-fi
I'm your favorite pet
I'm your toy
I'm your cat I'm your pup
I'm your horse I'm your bunny
You call me your Big Furry Hurricane, Your Savage Cupid, your Golden Doodle
You're raising me
giving nice baths and haircut
To your beloved American Field lab
You teach me manners
In a natural way
Loving and sincere
I'm well behaved, anf well trained
I'm your emotional crutch
I'm your cane
You smell the sugarcane within my collar
And dive into my waterfalls
And hike my mountains
You're the camp tent
That keeps raindrops and winds far
And you cook incredible meals
Made of laughter and joy.
So I simmer far from the usual cages
And leashes and leads
I simmer between your eyelashes
And I dissolve myself under your island
Warm and sweet like instant coffee
Making you shiver with thunderous bliss.
