It was as if her old shirt has tightened its grip unto her — slowly spreading crumbs of itch and scars from her last night's episode.

And sometimes, she would often wear her old clothes to feel its tightness and grip her unbalanced body, so she would look at herself and roll her eyes in disgust. And often, she would toss around her big shirts and compare the two, while her wounds slowly turning into scars, she would see to it and add another collection,
and she would call it a day. Eat a lot more than yesterday and hide in her memories, until someone finds her, but she's never found.

Sometimes, she will serenade someone but no one can hear her. Give some pieces of her and turn it into songs, but no one listens.

And she would call it a day, spend a lot more than yesterday, and hide in the present realm of her new found friend, her favorite scent from her old shirt.
January 2022!! Starting this year with a poem like this that I wrote last December. Reminiscing some emotions I felt last year.

Thank you for continuously reading my works. I hope you have a great month. :)
I'm a foreigner
at the crossroads
what you see from a distance
wave hands
say hello to you.
I've been confused
ever since stand alone in the crowd,
no one sees me
except for a pair of eyes
that is lodged in people's heads
which I never knew before;
and the clouds turn blue but don't hurt flowing right over the head
then the birds rise expel the wind
who had tossed my long hair.
I just stare at them,
hope they don't look at me.
However, the world suddenly stopped. And my world seems to have a limit
to transcend isolation.
I'm a foreigner
at the crossroads,
which has been left behind by old memories,
and when the new comrades have become adept at reading signs,
and therefore we have bonded
like a relationship
that we are not really aware of.
I'm a foreigner
at the crossroads,
greet you as a stranger too,
but now everyone is busy making their own festival,
and don't ask,
I make a festival for whom,
except for the day
when I'm not known anymore.

Your absence is choking me.
Making me voiceless.
But.
Drip.
Drip.
Splash!
Did you hear that?
Words of pain are bleeding from my plastered mouth.

Sentimentality.
Is no more than agony.

Thud!
Poignant promises shatter the floors.

lub
dub
My heartbeat rumbles your name.

Splatter.
Clatter!
My muffled cries are shedding salty tears,
Mercilessly tearing the tiles apart.

Swish...
The salt from my tears evaporate.

And so do you...
My longing for your presence is so great that it chokes me, I can only speak in gasps and muffled cries. I can only speak by pouring out blood mixed with words from my mouth. My tears have become too salty, too sour that they tear the floors. Please come to make my tears sweet again and stop my mouth from bleeding for my ink for you never dries. Never.

Holding onto the old days that won't repeat
Excepting a magic to happen
But at the end everything goes downhill
Maybe letting go of the old memories doesn't hurt much.
But hoping those memories to repeat is a mere imagination
Because
Memories happen not created
You made me feel that remembering those doesn't hurt.
But here I'm siting alone for seeking your precence
while I stare at the sky filled with stars
Now moon is filling your company
Walking with me and hearing my rants and talks.
Will you come and be with me again. I will take good care of you.

i woke to your eyes again
the deepest blue
like gazing into the ocean,
seconds before the storm comes in.

the truth is
i find your ghost at every turn
and still feel the cool waters
of your touch
with every whisper of the wind,
each memory a living phantom.

now i know
not even the holiest exorcism
could pull the threads of you
from my mind
you are the bread and wine
the iron in your blood
pulling me in
sweeter than any nectar.
- you kept me like a secret, but i kept you like an oath.

oh dear, you've been through fires and waters this year
scarred, scared, burned and drowned in blue
tired but alive with the beige in your skin turning different hues
you've come very far, didn't you?

we all did the clichés
we laughed, loved, cried, got mad, been forgiven
and we smiled
as we travel young and lost-ly in this fond thing we call life

and once in every often while
we all ache for a home,
thank goodness I found you

one of my human homes
one of the truests I've known
whose kindness never fail to make someone's
and your heart of gold too

so with this, I remind you again that you need not to walk alone
because heart, you'll never have to
as long as you never let it slip from your mind
that with all the stars combined, we'll love you in every triumph and trying time.
this was written for one of my human homes in real life, my best friend through senior high school who makes the best titles for written works and lovers her nieces dearly so
