Purge your unclean self
Your existence does not depend
On the judgement of others
You are the beauty created
For something long before you were born
Life depends on you
You are what you aspire to look like
Appearances fail when you forget
That time is an illusion
Seasons are fleeting
But you will reign red-blooded
The eyes follow every angle
Seriously believe in your immortality
The skinny boy on the runway
Believes
Invincibility
Inevitably forever
This is heaven
This is hell
Death is forever
Life lasts beyond eons
Your beauty is worn on your soul
Be it an old familiar jacket
That has toured the world
Be it a minimalistic shift
Worn moments before you were deflowered
Photographs will create the verdict
You will be weighed
You will be measured
Perfection is possible

In order to dance to the beat of your drum
You must have a sense of rhythm.
There's no use in hitting the beats on occasion
Because you'll end up sounding the way everyone does.
Just like them.

In order to wear the clothes no one does
You must have a sense of style.
There's no use in clashing your patterns or prints
Because that's a fashion and so in the end you'll be
Just like them.

But there are only so many beats you can play
Only so many colours in the rainbow
There's no possible way you can be so different
Because you are doing the very thing that makes you the same.
You're trying so hard to be the person no one understands
The person who's a mystery, who's just so different
That in doing it you've only become
Just like them.
Let me know what you think about this one.

His name feels like silk
On freshly showered skin;
Soft and luxurious,
Swaddling in light warmth.
His voice rolls through my ears
Like distant quiet thunder,
Low and smooth as fresh cream-
But he purrs like a panther
When the lights go out.
He is black leather dripping in pearls,
Smelling of Italian cologne and chiffon.
Marble-chiseled face like stone,
With a jaw set like diamonds
In a platinum band.
His arms are like
High-powered assault rifles,
But his fingers are like soft rain
When he touches me in the dark.
His name is an ******
On Valentine's Day,
A champagne-tinged kiss
On New Year's Eve.
He is the embodiment of exhilaration,
Of fashion and fun,
Of money and ***,
Of power and glory,
Of love and valor,
His name is the only name
I want to scream in the dark,
And his name is the only name
I want to be mine.

Let me dance a thousand miles
Behind this stream
Drenched in awakenings
Pinned to a budding flower
Fused to the dust on a butterfly's wing

Where arches of the rainbow
Glitter
Like bullet shells on concrete

Snakes purr and humming birds flutter inside my veins
I am nothing but gravity in venom
******* senses out of the universe
Where waters stride across glass and bloom in midair

The nectar is leaking now
Dripping from a hole in the sun
Burning the bones of the branches
Which entwined themselves like tangled thread
Wrapped around my forest

Shall I light the fire from my eyes
Igniting my world with shattered light?

I am alone
But not lost
Even if my pack has long gone

The wounds have finally closed
The flower has blossomed
The hunt has taken place
For my soul is the prey and
My flesh the predator

Let the battle begin

Whether victory or death
The howling of my heart
Will reverberate the roots
of present and past
Or
My footprints will fossil the stones*

Either way . . .
I still win
~
Strangely enough the majority of this poem is inspired by clothing. The other bits were from a character I created and a special friend of mine~~

Practical shoes on your feet
Squeaky clean vision could be 17
I always thought fashion was cynical
But you tell me it’s how your heart beats from withdrawal
when your marrying your hurt with my button down
It’s so easy to tell you secrets
Especially when you’re full of them
Let’s just end this how it begun
With my tongue
She doesn’t have a boyfriend though
But she ***** like she’s got plans to
Oh God.
She hasn’t had a bad day in ages
She messes around like she has that too
Dressing up zoned out
in a trance
I’m in doubt it’s what’s it’s all about
it’s just a way to get to the next room
you shout, out loud you say
you’re living a puzzle that keeps shifting
your trapped
'It's my way out'
She doesn’t have a boyfriend though
But she ***** like she’s got plans to
Oh God.
She hasn’t had a bad day in ages
She messes around like she has that too
It’s another aroma stuck in my mouth
'It's my way out I'd do it all over again'
Your beating heart says yes yes yes
The Artists ideology
their insight and vision.
Love their biology
see their division.

Lines of colour,
flowing and forming,
seemingly fuller
haphazard and warming.

The Critic explores
the artist, their passion
to find what they strive for.
Their ideals and fashion.

But some critics talk waste
when they try to show
what is our taste
as if we don't know.

Why is it so cool to hate on a group
for their fashion sense?
Or that they like to be off the mainstream?
You are doing the same thing that
people were doing to the
grunge
goths
punks
hippies
beatniks
flappers

and they all did something with their counterculture.
Ever think that
ours is the hipsters?
Not really,
they've been around since The *** Pistols
actually
they started them.
They made it cool to go to a thrift store
and buy things out of comfort
then rip it up
change it so it looked brand new.

Punk
that made Hipsters.

But now they are just some fad
that people hate on.
Just because they like to talk about
indie bands
knowing them first
wearing band tee's of bands they listen too
wearing vintage and retro clothing
likes reading
being in a cafe
organic food
vegan.

Stereotyping a group is all people did.
Now I can't wear things or do things
because some ******* is going
to say
"Ha you're such a ******* hipster!"

Why don't we stop hating people on what they wear
because how do you expect to get past
racism
homophobia
sexism
ableism
fatphobia
transphobia
prejudice
if we can't even get past how people dress?
