I love the costume you wear
Discounted and undervalued
But I see it for its true colors
It's a method, a mood, a mystery
How after so much pain
You're still here somehow, and smiling.

I love the costume you wear
Ocean blue sadness
Veiled by the violet warmth of your acceptance
Indescribably beautiful melancholy
Like the sunrise I watched today
The night wistfully accepting the inevitable morning
Knowing that midnight's velvet comfort will once again return.

I love the costume you wear
But I wish you wouldn't hide your true colors within
Its fierce red curtained folds
Or behind those miserably memorized monologues that just don't ring true
It's like you've got stage fright but
The stage is yourself.

I love the costume you wear
But come with me
And let's dance until the pain glows like the sun and becomes beautiful
Until the moon lights your way and you are no longer afraid
Until the wind takes your hand and you can release the curtain and let go
Until you can drop the script and let your words fly like birds, of their own accord
And until you can embrace the world
With only your heart, your smile, and yourself
And dance beyond it all, freely.
Woke up this morning with this on my mind

Ever envisioned a future
devoid of hate and hypocrisy,
where blatant apologies
came from guilty rulers?

That same universe was full
of people wearing faces,
forced to select from emotions
on a regular basis

Willing to ****** in the name
of safety or religion
Our minds are shattered by hate,
a mental demolition

Shaking the very foundation
of our moral dilemma
Objectives handed in spades
with a corrupt agenda

The enemy of my enemy is a frenemy:
a friend I never wanted
but needed this final century

Now striking iron for profit
we're unable to claim
and risk to lay in a coffin
chiseled with "Rest in Shame"

We crave to show our emotions
at metal institutions
and purchase masks that are
synthesized for silent humans

All due respect,
don't pay or settle for a single face
'cause at the end of the day,
we're just a single race

Right from the mouth
of our appointed leader:
"Sacrifice liberty for security,
and you deserve neither!"

We might be faceless
against the coming oblivion,
but staying strong together
portrays flawless resilience!
One race. Human.

Wilted petals fell of thoughts now lost in fragrance,
all were now but dissipated.
leaflets descended from its once proud place,
a region of lies that kept it alive in  residence.

but the smell was covering untruths
that were now showing that the smell
wasn't sweet it was bland of meaning.
All wasn't as it seemed as they were declining.

These weren't petals they were a façade of
a truth that wasn't real like the smell of
these plastic veneer that looked fine on the
thoughts but wasn't real in the thinking world.
Can you see the meaning in the words I have penned??

With his curly ginger hair, wild like a lions mane,
he just have to give you one look before you go insane.
He knows he is charming and he knows it so well,
that he finds joy in casting this inescapable spell.

His eyes are like the abyss: dark, cold and deep.
They consume the soul, make your mind go to sleep.
He has damaged you already and you think he is your remedy.
If you could just open your eyes and see his true identity.

With a longing for love and hoping it would float,
you went right in his trap to get him: the antidote.
But instead he fed you up with toxic dreams and lies.
Because this is what he is: poison in disguise.

my dad says you're a scatterbrain
my friends say that you're to blame
my grandma wants to take you to harrison
and I want to be in your arms again.
you told me you don't like food
because you picture it chewed up
and the presentation is all a facade hiding what it will become.
maybe that's why you didn't even chew before you spat me out.
I told you I don't eat because it's something humans need
and I don't like to be dependent.
but you're a new kind of craving
that a cigarette
won't help me to forget.

I wear extensions on my head and get them glued to every last eyelash.
I wear makeup as a mask that i apply with perfectionism and wasted time.
and I wear what you'll like on my body
because there is a lot of me missing that I need to compensate for.

A monster with a mask
Represents what lies in us
How we come alive the moment
The sky goes dark

Partying and popping pills
Drinking and dancing for the thrills
Happiness worn by the saddened
So high on drugs, their depression pardoned

So excuse me if I'm cynical
And yes I'm hypocritical
But why do we claim perfection
When a monster is our reflection?
mmmmm

The person you meet
and who they end up being,
are never the same.

Do not weep for those monsters
Who die in the dark;
Simply because you see them
In the light.
