Isn't it strange
That you
cause
the pain
And
The only cure
For it
Is you.
Mind says hate them; Heart says love them.
Lena Bitare Jan 2015
She said she can leave without him

But the mere thought of it kills her

So how is it even possible?
Lena Bitare Jan 2015
That's the problem.

You said that's your favorite song.
And when you play it on repeat,
Your ears sore.

And when you find a better one,
You stop the song, you ignore.

*Then you said I am your favorite
Lena Bitare Jan 2015
I asked "who is she?"
You said 'just a friend"

Then I saw the smile she threw on your face.

I realized.

*It's the same smile you gave me, the day I first saw you.
Recently,
her mind is
debating
with her heart
resenting
every word
she wasted
on this paper
and all the metaphors
you haven't even decipher
but how
can she stop it
you have brought her up
to the top
then pushed her
to this
bottomless pit
now
she's stuck
in this drop
and it's growing
big
like
a bad habit
running
like
a mad rabbit
munching
on her thoughts
of you
while trying to
remove your face
off the view
like grime
on her tiled walls
made by
endless waterfalls
of whys and what ifs
and all her selfish beliefs
like
how you will read
her poetry
and chew the words
like sticky pastry
but her mind said
"you're wasting your ink"
she should stop writing
poems about you
and let her
memories
sink
in the letters
of your name
that are scattered
in her head
all printed
in heavy lead
therefore now,
she concluded,
the real dilemma,
to wake her up
in this coma
of dreams of you
and
find
a paper
that will reach miles
across the equator

-I Should Stop Writing Poems About You, Margaret Austin Go
Mattrick Patrick Nov 2014
You are incredibly worth while,
I'd bend over backwards to see your smile
When you showed me your dreams
and you sang me your song it seems
that I could never forget you
in all my heavy years to get through
to a daffy dilemma that fools fall into.
To a higher tune than the ravages of men
and a softer sound than that most often
Given on the branches of lost relations.
Salvaged by the hearts of two native nations.

The problem, I realize,
Is that the way
I protect myself
From the innermost pain
Is the same way
I protect myself
From the innermost pleasure.

Staring out of the window
Watching it all go
It's a new day tomorrow
The end of sorrow
A fresh start
But deep in my heart
I'm afraid
As the scars fade
And the jourey begins
I am counting my sins
Will I be punished?
For the duty I cherished?

I have this weird habit of thinking
before I sleep into bliss.
But there is always a confusion,
something is always amiss.

Is it better to think about the memories spent with HIM?
or
Is it better to think about the possibilities of future memories with him?
Eventually,  dichotomy takes it's toll.
and I sleep in deep oblivion.

When I wake up, I feel I dreamt about both of them.
*You see, I didn't sleep that night.
Natalie Sep 2014
Do you need someone,
Or do you need me?
Am I here to fix you,
Or with me you feel complete?

Lately I've been thinking
A lot about you and me.
Let me know if you love me,
If not please don't make my heart bleed.
