Crocodile Tears.

What are they?
Why do they exist?

Crocodile Tears.

You don't deserve to have them.
Your emotions are just a lie.

Crocodile Tears.

Why does no one believe me?
These emotions are so raw, still bleeding.

Crocodile Tears.

Shut up. Wipe your face.
Clear your clouded mind.

Crocodile Tears.

Stop the crystal clear lies.
And shut those tired eyes.

Crocodile Tears.

The two words people use,
To pretend that they're alright.

Crocodile Tears.

No one is crying here.

They're all just Crocodile Tears.
Somewhat scathing, I know, but I think all 'Beggars of Attention' should read this.

We had a most horrid schoolteacher,
And us children did all hate her,
She’d shout at us for no real reason,
And threaten to see us later,
She had a dip on a Florida trip,
And was swallowed by an alligator,
But only crocodile tears were shed,
‘Cos we were all just … gladiator!
A lot of artistic licence used here!

Scaly pointed skin,
Log shape body, razor teeth,
Spinning coil of death.

Crocodile tears never last,
Let's have enough of the past,
All these phony crocodile tears,
Show me someone sincere,
My mud-coloured glasses,
Enough crocodile tears to last us......
Feedback welcome.

I thought I should write a happy poem
But I only write at night.
The ink of blood dripping from my heart
becomes thin and transparent in the light.

So if you want me to be honest:
The thought of you fills me with words
yet renders me speechless
to the point where writing hurts.

I'm young and wild,
Adrenaline rushes through my vains
I have a roar that rattles a child,
That burns like eternal flames.
I vitiate a jungle with my rampant fever,
Rotate the world, the wrath of my paws,
My tyranny drowns all that preys the river,
My ambitions defy nature's doltish laws
My soul craves a sense of power
To roam freely whenever, wherever,
Let me sieze and live in this hour
Because no one is meant to live forever.
"You are the painter of your own mood and your days are only as grey as you allow them to be."
George Cheese May 2015
Not all tyrants wear funny clothes.
They stand up in front of masses,
shout a song of lies
to totalitarian drumbeats.
They are monsters wearing crocodile smiles.
It's about time I revised and published this.

Love, camaraderie and poetry
You always did love it here.

HOW DO YOU save a poem as a DRAFT on here anymore? Help! I've been gone for a year and the save as draft button is gone?

Acacia tree sunsets over Lake Turkana
Yes, you always did love it here
Drawing Crocodiles on my wheel

The mouse in your hoodie
The hurt
the homeless
and all those people
you always did love it here.
1 year, 7 months, 7 days later and courage to get on Hello Poetry again, and tears and tears.
