A Wegner Feb 2015
Would you love me,
If I loved you?
Because I do.
Simple.
Now hold me in your arms
Let the world melt away
Like it was meant for just the two of us
Like everyone else's taking up
Too much room
Now look at me.
And love me
The way I love you.

Feel the blood coursing through you
An insatiable desire
That even if your arms
Were ripped from their sockets
You wouldn't dare to move
Now look at me.
And love me
The way I love you.

Built high--
can't climb.
Strong--
won't give to dynamite.
Fortress keeps the world at bay.
Castle walls--
inside I'll stay.
Gives me comfort,
keeps me safe;
Queen of all of my domain.
Screams echo off the stone--
reminder that I am alone.
Haunted halls,
restless ghosts--
all the things that I love most.
I am all that I believe--
not a soul to challenge me.
Isolation: bitter, sweet.
Isolation: I'm complete.

There is a blackness in my heart,
This blackness is complete.

Don't fret, in the light, the blackness is forfeit.

There is a blackness in my heart,
Do not enter! My blackness will lead you astray.

I'm already here love, my light will not betray.

There is a blackness in my heart,
In this blackness, you and I will fall.

I will fight off your blackness, together we'll stand tall.

There is a blackness in my heart,
I can feel it's need to consume me.

Don't give up yet--
Our battle will end, we will walk free.

There is a blackness in my heart,
In my blackness, your light dwindles, low.

Your blackness--
Yes, I understand now, 'we reap what we sow'.

There is a blackness in my heart,
This blackness, I've lost all I found in the way.

In this blackness, I will stay...
With you by my side, *
we fight another day!
Leaping into the unknown, with hope and courage as your companions...they're all the help you need...

Dim light, green-eyed warmth,
souls twining through open lips;
I feel so complete.
You make me whole.

Now
This is the very last of all the times
I ever saw your eyes....well,up to this.
And it's from them that I get all my rhymes
Which make a fool's words turn to bliss.

This is the very last of all the hugs
I ever gave to you, right now....
And each and every one of them is...
Exactly as is was supposed to be...just wow

This is the very last of all my whispers
The very last your ear has heard
I pour my soul, like from a giant kettle
Inside your soul, and it goes word by word

This is the very last of all my touches
I ever gave, you ever felt, well....up to now
My heart and your heart beat like synced up watches
And it's high time you asked yourself..."but how?"

This is the very last of all the poems
I ever gave to you....just know
It's basically just half a soul that misses
It's other half, so it can....glow.

And in this moment, replicated to infinity
The deepest kiss, the highest feeling, all amount
To making you and me and both divinity
And making each and every last of all it count.
I always wonder what it is you see in me

I miss you.
I love you.
You complete my heart
That was missing
You are not perfect far from it
But I love you
Just the way you are.
Sierra Scanlan Dec 2014
It's as if you walked in to my life and suddenly, my soul realized that you are everything it was looking for.
I feel like I've known you my whole life, how do you do this?
Your skin
Like the smell of rain
Within
Lights a window pane

Pink, grey
Blushing sparks jangle
Sink, sway
Touching, hearts tangle

Warm soft
Like sand to the foam
Aloft
Light hands to and fro

Listen
For gasps and breathing
Smitten
More rasps and creaking

Bitten
Salt, warm, sticky, sweet
Open
All worn and complete
Patterns float
obscured
by uncertain mists
recreating
a scene perceived
and painted
in washes of water colour
overlapping, merging
transfixed
fresh and timeless.

The shape
of routine activities
unpredictably change
or shatter
behind
the inexorable advance of time
as sequences
inevitably retreat
into a fading future
until the circle is complete.
Mattrick Patrick Nov 2014
You are incredibly worth while,
I'd bend over backwards to see your smile
When you showed me your dreams
and you sang me your song it seems
that I could never forget you
in all my heavy years to get through
to a daffy dilemma that fools fall into.
To a higher tune than the ravages of men
and a softer sound than that most often
Given on the branches of lost relations.
Salvaged by the hearts of two native nations.
