My  ego and I
are always
in a battle
For supremacy

My ego say's it's confidence
I call it arrogance

My ego says it's desirability
I label  it  "sheer vanity"

My ego say's it's wisdom personified
I know it as knowledge glorified

My ego says It's healthy pride
I say it's yet to be verified

Some time my ego wins
Many a time I let him lose

Who is to say
who is right?

My ego and I
are always
in a battle
For supremacy

CANCER
                         Cancer
                                          cancer
I thought it was gone, they had taken my kidney, I thought it was out
     CANCER
                         Cancer
                                          cancer
"It has made its way to your liver, we've also found some cancerous cells in your brain, I'm sorry", as if a doctor's sympathy makes any difference
     CANCER
                         Cancer
                                          cancer
There is no real treatment, only drugs that might slow down the growth, "it worked in 28% of patients", it hurts to see my family's pain, 28%
     CANCER
                         Cancer
                                          cancer
I am not in the 28%, they've stopped treatment. The pain is overwhelming
     CANCER
                         Cancer
                                          cancer
Soon, soon it will be over, soon the pain will end, soon i will be free     CANCER
                         Cancer
                                          cancer
Hurts my loved ones more than me. I sleep away most of what I have left
     CANCER
                         Cancer
                                          cancer
And then, it was over.
And then, I was free.

It's poetic
The way you scream in your dreams
Makes me wonder

It's electric
The way your hair moves in the breeze
Makes me see

It's magnetic
The way the flames dance in your eyes
Makes me feel

It's pathetic
The way words flow out but it's music to my ears
Makes me want

It's cataclysmic
The way the battle starts for your heart
Makes me bleed

It's heroic
The way you jump in front of a bullet
Makes me love

It's poetic

21 guns salutes this army heart of mine.
A soldier, fighting to stay alive.
Penetrating at all angles with hope to survive.
Why won't you love me and let this heart thrive?

21 guns salute this army heart of mine.
Succumbing to a love it will never know,
Jumping in front of bullets because it seems right,
Being a martyr seems better than being alone.

21 guns salute this army heart of mine.
Made from titanium woven in steel.
Strong enough to face any threat that comes near.
But weak for the way that you make me feel.

21 guns salute this army heart of mine.
21 shots for you and me.
21 reasons I love you more.
Even if it results in the death of me.

Between you and I: eternity,
An empty space that weighed a ton;
The silence howled like a banshee.
I had hoped that you might run--
Might sacrifice your dignity--
But you stood firm; what's done is done,
And we held tight our weaponry;
My grip was white around the gun.
We couldn't bring ourselves to see,
There there was only room for none;
That was the end of you and me.

That's why it's called falling in love
When you fall down
You scrape your knee or break a bone
Sometimes the scars last forever
The wounds are evidence of the battle you fought
The one you tried so hard to win
But in the end despite your best intentions
You lost
Now all you have are those scars
Every time you glance at them the pain from the memories creep back in and settle in your bones
The story of The Viper and The Mountain, is a sad tale to tell,
but it's really quite a story so listen very well.

There The Mountain was, armor clad and tall.
Before him many men had stood, but every one did fall.
But then a Viper came a calling.
"revenge" he said "revenge"
for the mountain had slew his sister, it was her he meant to avenge.

The Viper stabbed the The Mountains sore, right in his mighty chest.
and so The Mountain fell like any other wall of flesh.

The Viper was a quick man, though not quite that wise,  so blind was he by revenge The Mountain caught him by surprise.
The Mountain grabbed The Viper's head, and crushed it like a grape,
And so it was The Viper died, never to avenge his sisters ****.

A sad song to be sure, a gruesome tale indeed,
so lets raise our glasses high and forget it over mead.

You've made it to a safe spot in life.
Great job keep it up.
This right here is the calm before the storm.
The eye of the hurricane.
The only safe spot.
The only place to recap.
Tomorrow will be 30 times harder.
the day after will be 60 times.
So now you have only two choices:
try to run away with fear,
or run head first striking fear.
You don't need a plan,
but there is one thing you NEED to remember.
there is NO turning back once you jump in.
Once you light one fuse, they all go off.
So walk, run, jump, clime, and crawl your way through.
Make allies and make enemies.
I'll see you on the other side for the next battle.

A plethora of metallic chords
echo bluntly through a
hollow skull. The moonlight
burns many pallid, young
faces as they bathe in pools
of dull light.

Watching, waiting, wanting.
My breathing is shallow and
powerlessly, up here, I sit.
Like a hopeful hawk, I perch.
The shame a hawk feels when
likened to a vulture.

But I won't pick at your bones,
rolling as the Earth explodes
like fireworks. I have no
desire for dead meat, destroyed
by shells and their melancholic
tune or heart strings plucked
like a harp.

Two of you scuttle beneath me,
through the dead and the dirt
like cockroaches, burying into
the ground.
"So long my sorry friends" says
the hawk as he swoops and
dives to catch his prey.
