Smaller the *******
The bigger the brains, just go
Ask any Asian
**** them asian girls
Justyn Huang Oct 2018
**** did she have small *******
but wow how I ****** them--
And Loved Her
And all of Her the more.
haha just a cute joke
An absence reversed
Beheld
Belonging
Fuming lush greenery seemingly
Between the frothing
Soup and lather twinkling
Speaking
"Tradition may act dishonestly"
All and sundry
Trails along merrily
For traditionally
All is how it should be
Belonging to one and only.

Binding
A trade between the thin lines
A baking sheet made sprayed messy
Artists in threes
Shakers of mountains for invisible ease
The truth is simply
Things done traditionally
All-in consuming historically.

Flesh
Released
Is fresh
Relief
Hidden in the fabric's sleeve
A gaping passage of air and breeze
Racing electricity
Breathtaking silk from worms
And worms eaten by birds
Tradition
Sewing the dresses of Empress the third.
Halt
Her plea worth salt and sugar
Still
Like the skater's
Minted odour
Hope
Distances the valleys low dipped to the everlasted rivers
Where a time arrives for eternal celebration.
The embellishments of
Unwavered tradition.

What is your tradition?

so cool and gold
these hoops dance,
on the edge
of my shoulders.
they match, my skin.
they set fire,
to your son.
they are loved.
they are loud,
against my ears.
they are the only
cuffs, ill ever wear
these. gold hoops
are always proud,
oh, yes, my gold
hoops, give me power.
they swing with my step,
glint with my smile,
circle around your mind and
leave you to hang.
This is part of collection for a senior portfolio project at CU Denver
Project is intended to represent the stylistic distinctions of great American poets through the imitation of their poetics and/or their subject matter

Lucille Clifton is an important feminist, as well as, racial writer. Her works encompass the conscious break from traditional standards which she exhibits in the playful brevity of her poetry, and purposeful lack of punctuation. "homage to my hips," is one of her most anthologized poems representative of her power as a black woman in the world. My imitation, "homage to my gold hoops," are representative of my own race-*** relations in the world I live in. The negative connotation that gold hoops have gained over time (e.g. "the bigger the hoop the bigger the ***") is an example of removing power from a female object and lending it to the male point of view. In this poem, as I do everyday, I take this power back with my gold hoops.

Nababagot, bagot sa buhay
Buhay na noon'y makulay

San naparoon

Mga ngiting tunay
Mga salitang nagtulay
Sa loob at sa iba

San naparoon

Ang malawak na ideya
Imahinasyon o nobela

Nariyan lang sila
Sa dulo ng daliri
Sa gilid ng labi

Hanapin mo
At iyong makikita

Nababagot, bagot sa buhay

Hindi na, parating na

May makikita ka
Na wala sa iba

Hindi na, parating na

Damdamin
Galak
Halakhak

Nariyan na
Sa loob, sa paanan
Sa iyong mga mata
My first published poem in my native tongue -- tagalog. Filipino language is beautiful, syllabical. Hope another Filipino stumbles and feels with my first tagalog poem.

Is she happy?
I can't tell
Maybe it's because
She always smiles

A face of sarcasm
A twinge of laughter
Her words are soft
With screams and shouts

Her height is debatable
Her character is not
Her liveliness contrasts
With nothing at all

Her hair does not change
But when it does it shocks
Everyone around her
Laughs in flocks

Though sometimes she annoys
She always comes back
Though some may disagree
She's still my friend.

:)
Hi, this is a poem about my friend, Elissa. I've known her for quite some time and I love her (sometimes).
