It feels like yesterday
when a politician appeared on our doorstep
with promises of development,
employment
and better health facilities

He said
"we would turn India into
America"

The same politician was on our doorstep
yesterday
distributing masks and soap bars
among people
who can't afford them

When people expressed their
fear
over the growing number of
cases

He replied by saying
Don't worry we won't let
India turn into
America
How the tables have turned

American citizens in “bread-lines” to get little boxes of food. How desperate do you have to be to join that line? The sad, generous, little boxes of nutrition. We are all human, we all need our next breath and our children’s next meal. We all need shelter.

It’s a carnival of pleasure to mock human need. Tell me my mistake.

Watch our President’s Daily Briefing. He doesn’t mention bread-lines. He chooses not to. How counterfeit is his competence. No “fire side chat”, no promise of hope. How mean is this fat, grubby, “rich” man who s*s on golden toilet seats and ignores starving Americans’ desperation.

The tyrant’s plea, as the collapse begins, is “I’m not responsible”. Tell me my mistake.

We have lost our immeasurable strength. We are become callous. We are robbed, of our better, more generous selves by narrow focus, by zero sum greed. Our collapse will be just, like verse set down in primitive times when the margin of error was clear and understood.

It’s a calm discrimination to choose carelessness. Tell me my mistake.

This unfolding viral nightmare is but one of the fires along the tree line. The encroaching environmental disaster, the loss of our political system’s integrity, the militarization of police racism.

Maybe China will do better - if I’m reading my score card correctly, it looks like they’re up next as the world’s great superpower.

My country, 'tis of thee,
Sweet land of tyranny,
Of thee I sing;
Land where my hackers live,
Land where my loyalty is,
Land where my bankers give
Let misrule ring!
My native country, flee,
To land of autocracy,
Thy name I love;
I love thy arrogance,
Thy sweet high-handedness;
Your subjugating dominance
Of thee I sing.
Let Russia swell the breeze,
And ring with Putany
Sweet brother's song;
Let lying tongues awake;
Let American freedoms take;
Let law and justice break,
Let Trump rule ring!
Allies like Moscow Mitch,
Have America in the ditch,
Let Fox News ring!
Republicanism is a b*h,
Our government for the rich,
My Lackey's be enriched
Of thee I bling!
Corruption's' God to me,
Author of tweetery,
To me thee sing.
Long may my brand be bright,
With dictator's impending night,
The fools have given me the right,
I'm  God your King!
In the tradition of updating classic American folk songs to reflect new times.
This is "America" reworded.

Ok, I'm not paid to think (like the TV shouting heads), I have no real voice (vote), and certainly no credentials - but I'm as invested in America as any high-school citizen can be - I've pledged allegiance 3000 times (hhmmm.. do they doubt our loyalty?) and when it comes to loving America I'd have to say my classmates and I are at the center of the spell.

I'm afraid we're growing up in the age of hate.. the age of phony outrage where each position large or small is high noon and violence is underfoot even when policing ordinary citizens.

We won't address the multitude of old problems in this new age.. we'll just unleash a marquetry of half truths to dispute the proven until unreasoned arguments reach their paranoid fullness. The real world is alarming enough - lets just push that away and ignore it - while we're at it lets **** shame the poor, the old, the sick, the unemployed, the hungry and the hand of mercy.

I realize America was never one moral atom bonded for better.. but those anvils that forged us appear neglected or forsaken. I'm afraid what's happening now, what we're seeing and hearing now, is a symphony of erosion - that by the time I have any say at all, the middle class will be gone - America turned slum - where even the voice of despair will be turned traitor.

We'll only be able to see our greatness in museum souvenir shops where nothing is affordable and everything is made elsewhere.
a free verse piece about our modern, American dialogs.
he's begging to breathe
Crying please..
though he's now gone,
the echoes of his desperation
shed light on a dark situation
we're all going through waves
of constant uncertainties,
Yet one aspect is certain,
societies accepted ignorance
is finally falling away,
a martyr, someone's son, our fellow brother
I'm sorry for how you suffered,
these tears fall
yet now maybe we can build
and stand tall,
instead of living in our bubbles
comfortably ignoring the pain of another

I'm not black, but I see you
I'm not black, but I hear you
I'm not black, but I’m near you
I'm not black, but I stand with you

you are all a blessing
so let’s stop messing

let’s cut the silence
and cut the violence

our organs are the same
the blood types won’t change
but still, this is no fair game

I see too many privilege
depending on your village

we make huge difference
let’s prove your innocence,
cut the ignorance

we are all the same,
only different names

guided by authorities,
but let’s set priorities

of humanity?
I see 0 percent
we need to stand up,
be a movement

we are hating and killing
this is not okay,
this is not fulfilling

your worth is defined by a colour,
it’s worth only some dollars?

what the **** are they thinking?
these racists are winning

where are human rights?
they only count, if you’re white?

this only causes damage
in different ages,
on different pages

people get hurt
we should be concerned

the future is equal? ha! *******

how should today’s children,
be tomorrow’s change,
if we teach them rage

how to hate one another,
not to value your brother,
how to be violent,
how to be silent,
how to watch,
follow the system,
how to be a victim

but now for real,
listen

it affects anybody
in America,
the cops have their hands ******

A.C.A.B. but not all are *******
there are some,
with really good standards

we should all be
on the same team,
make love our religion
that would be supreme

why fight each other
when we share a mother?

mother earth wouldn’t like all this hatred,
that we created

I don’t understand,
how can you be so mean?
how can we heal?
is there a vaccine?

I know life can be joyless,
so let’s raise our voices

let’s stay strong,
together,
and be clever

let’s learn how to care,
how to love,
how to share

let’s be a game changer,
cut out the danger

make it safe for everyone
no need to use a gun

less violence, decrease
let’s be good, find peace

we come in different shapes, colours, sizes
now this problem finally arises

we need to find a cure
it’s urgent, I’m sure

bring some clarity,
embrace the difference,
cherish similarity

we are all human
let’s find a solution
create a revolution

more or less melanin?
doesn’t matter,
'cause we all need
the same medicine.

with everything that's going on in America right now, I couldn't stay quiet. Let's not repeat our mistakes over and over again. We are all the same.

I understand, that I will never understand, however, I stand.

If you have a voice, then raise it.

We didn't want to be in your country
In this first place,
You dragged us to your country.
On our backs we built the future.
You called us different nasty names,
Reduced us to animals
Despite all the degradation
We made it still.
Shame on you.
It's painful being you right now.
The more you make us feel small
The bigger we are, we define ourselves.
We are real deal, we are love
Of course yes, we are BLACKS

The trauma we can't see,
The hurt engraved in our streets.
The pain and the grief.
Blindness and the corruption we don't believe.
Now I just hope you see.
That no matter your sensitivity or your belief.
The way we treat human beings shouldn't cease just cause of a difference of pigment.
Yeah that's real ****
And now that you breathe it.
You can't refuse to see it.
Grab it and reach it.
We need to preach it.
Too long have we taken the abuse.
Let me spell it out for you so you are not confused.
Originating from the early ages.,
there was often a divide in the races.
And as the cases of racial injustice grew to greatness.
The pain in the faces.
When a white man discriminates and calls himself not a racist.
As the modern ages progressed the mace was used instead.
Then we let the **** get to our head, the media to keep our mouths fed.
Imprinting hurt upon others in the form of a virtual silhouette.
And you know the rest. School violence, No kindness,  empty souls and laser lightness.
All in form of weapons of oppressed whiteness.
The people who tried to respond to the cries
Were not realized because they weren't unified.
And now as riots, protests arise they wonder why.
The problem has progressed and we finally have the strength to speak up to the oppressed.
Yet the unnecessary violence is not a protest.
Just another reason why the lies have kept us blind.
For so many years the pain has seared,
ending many lives you don't even realize.
The only cure to all this is the realization of the direction that our country has regressed in.
And then maybe we can start taking the steps to secure the pain and rearrange the flag that was broken all along
