Sometimes
painful memories are
the beautiful demons
that entice
our mind and heart
at the same time..

They hurt
our breaths intensely
and makes life
little unbearably difficult.

But
sometimes
they're also
the delightful angels
that helps you
to get through
the ultimate phase of
transformation in life.

So
"revere the pain,
and
honor the memory..."

In this world of pain and torment
We ask ourselves..
Is it really worth it?

This life of crime
This life of hate
The world unbound
In a suicidal state

Run around in circles
Hear the echoes of tormented souls
Race beyond compassion
There is no love

Hunting the lifeless bodies
Of those who once believed
The endless amount one could show
How much they cared

The darkness has risen
No more love to show
The darkness takes flight
Compassion is all but dead

Life can be cruel
But just look beyond it
The light shines so bright
As the world comes to an end

Remember the passion
The life we all once knew
Where our imaginations could bring us
Everlasting love

Fight for a new day
One we can all enjoy
Embrace the horrors
Of a world thats brand new

Breathe in the light
Of a thousand new born stars
For the love has come back
The time is now

The gift of eternity
And the passions that we share
The life of a baby
And the hope of a brighter tomorrow

Love is the sting of salty tears
In a still gaping wound.
I know because memories still linger...
I buried everything else with you.

The taste of blood
On our tongues after the fight...
The reason why they didn't know
What this addiction was like.

How much would we get by with?
How often? For how long?
Shield up, prepare for the storm.
It came after every calm.

We passed the point of no return.
You got the whips and canes.
Started with pleasure, ended with pain.
Passion goes both ways.
I was a special little girl
Who was forgotten in this world
No one bothered to water me
Or let the sun shine on my leaves
No one told me that I could sing
They held me down & clipped my wings
They grew back just so I could see
Who I was always meant to be

We lost the Summer
In a flash of lightning.
It melted down
Into millions of rain drops.

And with it,
My inner light wanes,
Weeps, and wonders
If there's any way out of this September gloom.

But of course,
There must be darkness
If there's light.
So I will embrace the night.

We lost the Summer
In a flash of lightning,
But the thunder
Brought us Autumn.
What a sudden turn of events...
And yes I know, it's not officially Fall yet. ;)
When my time finally arrives,
Finality holds no surprise;
But please remember
To close my eyes,
Shut my mouth,
End my lies.
Lace polished shoes
On my feet,
Cross my hands
Upon my chest,
Comb my hair,
Let me rest.
And tell the truth
When you speak.

(and if it's not an imposition,
lay me in the right position)

Dispense with the hyperbole,
There's hell to pay,
I assure you.
