Ill get round to it..

Jesica
And she did it again!
The medal glowed around her neck,
Her face was lit up like
A hundred candles burning together.

In the corner of the same room.
He smiled,
His sacrifice had been fruitful.
The girl had lived to become a doctor.

Her mind was filled with gratitude,
For the unknown who had saved her life,

He leaves the room,
Hoping that the truth will never be unveiled.
And thus his sacrifice will be hidden from the world.

Attention is not the grasp
Of some,  where the mind
Wonders if more than
What the anticipation of
Remembering surpasses.

*'A thought can stretch into a thousand words, but a goldfish
Has already forgotten its question,
Just because its a long write doesn't mean it shouldn't be read. You may enjoy it.

The medicine is eating away parts of my brain
Slowly turning me into a rotting pile of bones
Artificially filling in all the cracks
Time for another pill
Pill after pill
1 pill
2 pill
Yellow pill
White pill
There goes my refill

Ryn's a young poet from S'pore
Whose poems are now folklore
They're lighter than air
They give flight to despair
Your sanity they will restore!
Just started reading his stuff - it's great! If you're not following him you should - he takes the common place and makes it uncommon!

Take heed, but do
not take hold...memory
is more than can be
remembered.
From personal, to
collective... by
disjunction it will be forgotten.
As if its shapelessness were a ripple,
touching on itself to be--
to remember...till it must
adhere to the loss of its round.
Truly, memory is more than
can be remembered,
minds are drawn out by lack
of distinction.

A bubble appears
Small and smooth
Symmetrical
Transparent
Hued in pink and blue
Harmless
Our instinct is to pop
Amused by its bursting
Why?
It will explode as it lands softly to the ground.
Why not let it be?
Admire it's beauty
Floating in purity.
Clear and delicate
A free spirit
Until it hits the ground
Pop!
It vanishes

I was taking a shower one morning, and saw this bubble floating. My initial instinct was to pop it, then realized... Why?
I pondered about cruelty, wars, destroying nature,  and how our human instinct to destroy still exist. But why?  Haven't we evolved from our hunter and gatherer days... Or have we?

Sort of like a phantom limb
I can feel her
Even though I know she's gone

Sort of like the summer wind

Sort of like an old best friend
I haven't seen
In way too long

She's sort of like a phantom limb
The pain of loss
I deal with again and again

The pain of loss
Knowing I can never win

Awakening will find me
through the daily mundane
faith's step in front of tiny step
for the sake of Christ's great name
Even David the brave did not set out
with a lofty ambition to see the giant slain
but walked forth instead with a servant's heart
obediently for his father, carrying cheese and grain
and as he went in faithfulness about this simple errand
God raised him up with sling and stone to champion His fame

When my best friend died
I was left with almost nothing
My loving words were dried.
and my heart wouldn't sing

We held a speech his sister and I
and we praised him to the skies
there was told not a single lie
in this ocean of silent cries

My words and his ears never met
A lot of kind and unspoken words
I held in my heart of regret
like a nest full of newborn birds

But I woke up in my bed
More lucky than glad
Because my friend was not dead
It was just a nightmare I had

I called him on the phone
And I opened up my chest
To let the truth be known
That truly he is the best.
It takes a lot of bravery to tell the people you love that you love them, but make sure you do! It brings more happiness to tell them while they are alive instead of at their funeral.
