Rolling seas of amber-gold,
Chocolate trunks with scarlet leaves.
Vibrant yellows, flaming oranges
Like the embers of a fire dying.
The winds have changed,
The birds fly south.
For Summer's heat
Has come and gone.
The days are shorter,
The nights are growing.
A cold, crisp Breeze
Nips my nose.
It lifts my hair
And chills my neck.
I close my eyes
And breathe it in.
Whispers of forgotten warmth,
Fleeting thoughts of green and blue.
A peaceful mem'ry...
A soothing dream...
Cause now I see
Rolling seas of amber-gold,
Chocolate trunks with scarlet leaves.
Vibrant yellows, flaming oranges.
Like the embers of a fire dying.

Austin Pursley
My past is too present,
I can still feel your presence,
I smoked an ounce of **** just to get rid of my headache,
But god ****** my head aches,
And ****** my bed takes,
Up too much of my time,
Thought about you and I can't wait,
To get rid of these demons that been saying I can't shake,
Off the mentality I'm done and or that I will be at this rate,
I just hope that you miss me,
I know you don't miss me,
I just hope that you will when you see how far that I will be,
And I swear I'll be wealthy,
Take care of my family,
Won't end up opposite if I could show you what can be,
And I wish that you'd let me,
But I know you won't let me,
So it's questionable why the **** I just spent these,
Last few years on someone who never gave a ****,
Won't you come back?
I deserve a second look.

Only if tomorrow comes
will I be with thee,
For if tomorrow never comes
our love will never be.
Unlike the changing winds
of time the memories live
entwined,
and if
the morrow never comes
your heart will still
be mine.

Walking the gravel roads that my
Ancestors walked before me,
I feel the ghosts of their struggles
Beneath my feet.

But also their voices; laughter,
Infant legs running towards fathers
With shouldered axes and saws and
Smelling of forestry.

Weary, but not too weary to pick up
A child for an afternoon embrace.
The trees still sing the songs they sang
Them to sleep with;

Bellies full of barley or not at all.
Despair and hardship, yes.
But more. The land remembers
Their lullabies.

Light eyes
Telling white lies
Yeah, you're a bad guy
demons shining brighter
than the summer skies

Sky high
I'm soaring; wide-eyed
Glide over hillsides
Heart racing,
beating like the timeless tides

Let's never turn back
to the shoreside

Hold tight
'cause it's a wild ride
When you leave, remember me
As silences & midnight cries

Let's hide
Someplace with nightlights
Let out your dark side
Watch your ghosts roam alone
for one night

Tonight
The bad guys
With starry eyes
Rule my starless sky
// My definition of starlight //

(I hope the continuous rhyming wasn't too cringe-worthy!)

Truly, it's not easy to enlighten someone's heart
To encourage people who can't even see their faces and shadows
I fully understand because I've been there at the dark
A world that's ruled by emptiness and sorrows

I am not fully healed simply it's hard to start
My wound from depression are still open and fresh
Hopefully the message of my poetry won't miss the mark
That someone's mighty will entrust me and bless

Feed the hungry soul with hug and peace
Look on what we can give not what we are longing to receive
Plant seed of love to make the world a better place
Rather than grow fruit that will bear sins to every Adam and Eve

Refresh thirst of wisdom with word of care
Be contented of what life can give and offer
Accept that what's beyond have no really place here
Else a journey that full of melancholy and suffer

Clothe the naked with truth, with faith
Alleviate the poor state with proper knowledge
And so this was written before you'll see my wraith
The legend of once a depressed soul gives a little light with courage

Your body’s borders,
These walls crumbled,
All this unclaimed land,
Ready for the taking,
Conquer these cliffs
Sail my seas,
This nation of mine,
Brought to it’s knees
*******
there's still
a single ray of hope
in every corner of your heart
when everything is unachievable
and when you start to believe
in

impossible

so don't give up
believe in yourself
make it happen
make it possible

Will you find me faster next time
Before perception binds me to duty
To a life I was never meant to lead

Will you search relentlessly
Until we are joined once again
Before fairytales fall from reality

Will you remember that we are bonded and bound
And be compelled to feel whole
On loves crusade until we meet again

Will you know me as you always have
Through millennia to eternity
Never resting until we are one

Will the road to me be found more quickly
Wasting no time building a life united
Sharing all we are meant to share

Should the slumber of darkness find me
Will you find me faster next time
