today i couldn;t hold it in any longer
i said my piece
it didn't go well
Now I'm facing the
Chill i knew would arrive
like ice on fire
Frozen Lump in throat
Peering over the abyss
Shattering All illusion of
Peace
Or  security
Or civility
Like A dam giving way
But instead of
bursting forth
this water is jagged ice.
For now,
Suspended in descent
we are
in
Deep
Freeze
After a god awful fight.. With no possibility of escape

I saw the sun in your face,
A little cloud in eye,
I felt the earth was to make,
Dreams we both spied.

But that was then, when,
We had one day

And this was hope,
We wished, we prayed,

But the sun fell into cloud
And darkened eyes,
But the earth was unmade,
In showers we both cried.

Wildflower 'neath a
     giant weeping willow,
         comforted by the shade
  her fragrance wafting darkly
      whispered into the wind ~
she'd been 'betrayed by the sun',
frail tendrils blistered
     of indiscretion below
            burning discrimination,
   fallen neath the cracks
        suffocating a delicate essence,
she could no longer bear the
   deep-rooted superficiality
         of seeds buried within *****
                    little implanted secrets

beth fwoah dream
dreams that soften,
calming the mind
until it sighs like a ghost.
The chase is over,
Though it never really began.
There wasn't much of a game for you,
Was there?
Thus the prize lost its lustre,
Lost your lust.
And so you continued to chase,
Eyes wandering elsewhere,
Secretly seeking other prizes,
Real achievements to you.
As I gathered dust on your shelf,
Polished when you needed me.
I will eventually fade into the background,
Phased out by new trophies,
Bigger and better.

If joy were a person
It'd be you
Dear sister

If kindness were a person
It'd be you
Sweet friend

If peace were a person
It'd be you
Kind soul

If goodbye were a person
It'd be you
Old friend

If hopeless was a person
It'd be me
Cruel world

As I lean back
To float
Upon the clear, bright waters
I heard the whispers
Of the water

They tell me,
You see?
You float
You are naturally buoyant
You are not meant to drown

**Hold on
Put together in like 5 seconds, but whatever

a song at random
woke me up at 2 a.m.

a song that shuffled
all of the cards in my deck

and turned up face cards
with your picture on them

i found myself craving
the intro to a childhood show
i found myself craving
the sound of innocence
everything needs to slow down

I found myself buried deep within the womb of creation
Lost, I climbed through the mud of life
Pulling myself up on the bones of the ancients
I broke through to the light, and heard the earth cry
Rise, Woman, Rise

I looked upon the face of the eternal
Reaching upward, I tried to touch the sky
So with my feet planted firmly in the past
I grew toward the future, bridging both earth and divine
And in me, the words rose once more,
Rise, Woman, Rise

After I had bridged the heavens,
After I had delved through the mud
I branched out towards the stars surrounding
Souls glittering in the lonely sky
Beckoned by a need, I reached to them
But just out of reach, they twinkled distantly
When a single answer I heard them call
Rise, Woman, Rise

And from my roots, I grew down deeper
And from my arms, I reached out high
With my fingers, stretched out longingly
Glancing over them, I swept the sky
Fingers clasped my own in their hands
Pulling me towards their brilliant light
Connected, I am tied to the universe
Woven into the web of life
And now, when I see another reaching,
I cry out the words that brought me here,
*Rise, Woman, Rise

If life is a highway,
I hope you're not just some detour
That takes me to the worst part of town
And leaves me there.
I hope you're the u-turn that saves me
A lotta useless traffic
Leading me in the right direction
To my path of eternity.

Dear Love,

Please excuse us letting others get in the way of reaching you.
Jealousy
Envy
Dishonesty
*Doubt
There are plenty others.

Silenced, in awe,
They watched her paint,
Bringing life to a canvas.
Bold colours
And fierce brushstrokes.
They marvelled at her masterpiece.
Me, I watched her face as she painted,
The emotions sweeping over her,
Bringing life to the canvas she was.
And I was humbled
And I was in awe
And I marvelled
At the true masterpiece.
