She said,
"I am truly yours,"
And me,
I am a fool always.
Waiting,
To be cheated,
They always say,
"I have found someone better,
He's just like me & so compatible."

I had read her acceptance letter then,
She had promised me to love me,
I had even renamed myself,
For her, I took that step,
So long as lifelong.

Reading her old love letters,
I now realize its postmortem,
That I read none complete,
At the bottom of the offer,
Was written in small letters,

   around the clock
after a while
begins to feel like
permanent responsibility

your friends expect you
to be online all the time
whether you like it or not
so they can share with you their daily trivia
of personal condition, discount shopping, their dog’s health,
the children’s good, their problems with their partners,
etcetera etcetera

I know it’s nice to hit a button
and hear the ringing of the other’s phone
the voice responding to your call

it’s fine when there are no alternatives

and yet

somehow the electronic chat
confirms more than redeems
presence of absence of the person

I feel like talking to an avatar
a disembodied voice
that has a virtual existence
yet whose life in the real world
still needs to be asserted
by meeting – and talking –
in a café
or simply on the street

Sometimes I had had to ignore her,
For I had to focus on my life,
So that I could make it shine,
And then on in future make her mine,
Unopposed from the society on the whole,
That included both our families & friends,
But she couldn't just wait for a little time.
The concepts of attention & neglect are relative. These can't always be meant as such. Sometimes to give proper attention to our love later on in life, we must ignore it and give preference to life and success.

WickedHope
When I read (y)our old messages,
I cry in disbelief.
How could you not mean
All that you said to me?

You said it meant nothing.
But I have the letters,
The presents, the promises
That disagree.
I just hope you know
I love you
as much
as you hate me.
loudest cry for help
screamed for you to notice me
nothing, still in love
His love an ocean,
and she was willing to *drown.
What would you do
If no one loved you

Would you cry
or
Would you sigh

Love

Do you care
or
Do you swear

Do you look for love
or
Do you hide from love

Do you want it
or
Do you need it

Do you know what love means
Real love
Never ending love

are you a hopeless romantic
or
romantically wanting love

What are the feeling of no love

are they silent
or
are they loud

are they sharing thoughts
or
are they lonely thoughts

do you have thoughts of joy
or
do you have thoughts of nothing

do you smile
or
do you cringe

do you want it
or
not

It's actually not that hard to find

JUST LOVE ANOTHER
LOVE ANOTHER
In the land of love and hurt
Life holds no reason for what we gain

The love of hurt
The hurt of love

They come in a pair
So please beware

We hurt the ones we love
We love the ones we hurt

We execute our hurt for love
yet
Surrender our love for hurt

We try to sweep our hurt under the door
yet
We let our love fall between the cracks
You changed,
You changed
I walked a way
To keep myself
I lost the game.
The game,
The game,
You were not fair
It was a war
I left you there.
You’re there,
You’re there,
And there you’ll stay.
You play the game.
I’ve walked away.
Things have been said about me that are not true. He thinks I am the enemy, that I hurt him on purpose, but its all in his head. He wants to see me as the one who started the war, so he's justified in fighting me.  He thinks I left him to hurt him, but I left him to stop myself from getting hurt.
