The way our blazing passions collided was beautiful
Our sparks were caught in an eternal ballad
Each mimicking the ecstatic bursts of the other

But our dance
Turned into a fight

It was a perfect storm
Two scorching typhoons of emotions
Plowing through the paths we once ventured together
Ripping through -and burning -the fields where our souls first touched
Erasing our memories from our hearts

Our fury burned bright
But our ballad remained beautiful
The music of our universes being torn apart whaled
As we both animated our destructions

But somewhere in our scattered souls
Deep inside the ashes of our love
A flame still shine
Enjoy the story

Awake for hours on end
And for what?
What have I accomplished?

All I did was swim among the echoes of my memories
Desperately trying to recapture it's magic
All I've done is drown out the chaos of my brain
Through the songs of nostalgia that ring in my ear

But, that will all end with sleep.
Ah yes, the drowsy perfume of my bed
Will silence the pain
Through the enchanted images of my dreams

Yes, sleep will end it all
The half death of my soul will send me off into the next morning
To dance with death some more

Looking at the stars
Is looking back in time
Gazing at rays as ancient as time itself

Looking at the stars
Is looking back in time
Visited by the ghosts of the past
Memories swimming among the stars
In the empty void of space

Looking at the stars
Is looking back in time
Staring at the scene painted by the moon
Trapped by frames of the clouds
Trying to escape the darkness
Of the empty void inside me
Wrote this back in March break. I figured you might like it

The sweet song of the scratching pen
Conducted by a wildfire of emotions
Drown away the weeps within

The tears streaming down his plumped cheeks
Are the ink in his nib
He laces his misery with the bliss of his words
He paints his turmoil with the hymns of his sonnets
He quiets away the dreams of the past
Through his haikus of the night

Remember when, under the silver clouds,
We found ourselves wondering the fields hand in hand?
Watching the cars buzz by
Striding through the light spray of rain
As we lost the sense of time

Strolling through the caresses of the grass
We roamed the fields of our glare
The rays of your smile
The lily pink shade of your lips
Remain inked in my heart

Now, I can only dream
Of sharing one last dance with you
This is a true story.

"What?
What are these streaming down my cheeks?
Are... are these tears?"

Yes, today, I cried for the first time
The first time in years
I felt grief gnawing on my stomach
I felt hopelessness tighten my throat
My heart was ripped apart
I couldn't breathe

But why?
Why now?

I was pushed over the edge
As if all of my hidden demons
Suddenly wanted to come out and play
They heard my sighs being silenced
They knew my screams were hushed
They were the only ones to hear my cries for
Help.
No tears were shed. But ****, I came close
