Beneath ‘Fine’ Veils
Solaluna Jan 29
In the quiet spaces where my heart resides,
I craft a tale of endurance,  where emotion hides.
A facade of fine, a smile painted on,
Hiding the storms, where shadows are drawn.

Through the echoes of laughter, a silence persists, Enduring the ache, with clenched-fist twists.
I say I'm fine, a whispered refrain,
Yet in the depths, a tempest remains.

In the theater of tears, I play my part,
A master of pretending, a work of art.
The world sees strength, a resilient sheen,
But beneath the surface, a different scene.

I endure the weight, the burdens I bear,
A stoic facade, a delicate affair.
Yet, in this masquerade, emotions entwine,
For sometimes, saying "I'm fine" is a valiant design.

So let the verses of endurance unfold,
In the silent poetry of stories untold.
I wear a mask, a masterpiece divine,
Enduring, pretending, yet somehow,
I'm fine.
The poem explores the theme of enduring emotional challenges beneath a seemingly composed exterior.

don't take it too lightly
Solaluna Jul 2022
I was not kidding when I said I love you.
I meant it with all my heart,
All my soul,
With all of me,
For I am bound to you,
And that's what my love will ever be.

MASK OFF
Solaluna Dec 2021
Our conversations are in capital letters,
Is it because we mean it?
Or maybe because we don't.
Are we just exaggerating,
To hide our truest intention?
Is your love for me a façade?

Drunk in Love
Solaluna Dec 2021
One drunken night,
We confessed our love,
Under the skylight,
Like it's all we have.

The moon was there,
Our only source of light.
The witness of our love,
Is one majestic satellite.

Dazzling were your eyes,
Amidst the darkness of night.
Let's stay here for a while,
For "we"  just feels so right.
After writing this piece a storyline suddenly popped into mind and I'm contemplating if I should do it because I'm bad at writing filler scenes or casual conversations uwu.  A penny for your thoughts?

Scars
Solaluna Sep 2021
I traced every scar you have,
With the touch of my lips.
Not wanting to disconnect,
Even for just one bit.

And I stay there,
While you tell me the story behind them.
Making me love them more,
Making me love you the most.

They are not just scars,
But bits of the many stories of your life.
Without them,
You won't be here and mine.

Rain in New York
Solaluna Sep 2021
Every raindrop turns you on,
That will end on waking up tired the next day.
Oh, the intense love you have for the rain,
Especially the ones in New York.

What I Know
Solaluna May 2021
I know what love looks like,
I can see it with my naked eye.
I know how it can make you look the brightest,
The most beautiful human that ever existed.
I know what love looks like,
but sadly, love, I don't know what it feels like.

Have you heard?
Solaluna Apr 2021
Hearsay, the more you forgive, the more they will love you. But every time you forgive them, you fall in love with them less and less. And the time they love you more than any other is very much the moment you decide to love them the least.

Role
Solaluna Oct 2020
Our relationship is built with role-plays and fore-plays,
You ask me to be someone I find hard to portray,
Sadly, I still do it for I want you to stay,
But I am not just some actress leading in your stage play.

Poets
Solaluna Oct 2020
It is hard to find words,
That rhymes with the other,
Words that are evidently sweet,
That can make your heart feel warm and tender.

Poets are clever,
They build worlds in words,
That can make you shiver,
Poets, they are brilliant liars.

Medicine
Solaluna Oct 2020
A love that is pure
Is the only thing that can lure,
And cure a broken heart,
That’s for sure.
