The music was loud
And so was she
Even though no words
Could be spoken

He saw her dancing
From across the room
However her body
Hadn't made a move

They knew it there
Through all in the air
This was all
This was real

Together they stayed
Forever in that moment
Forever they were
Forever in love

Go ahead, girl
Go on home
Let down the curl
No time to roam

The dress hits the floor
You may be alone
Dance and sing some more
The sound of a trombone

Here lies your cat
There lies your phone
Swallow the wine in the glass
Have fun even when alone
Don't be afraid to celebrate, don't be afraid to be alone
Butterflies
Don’t float around
Saying “Look at me!”
Or hope to be found.
They don’t ask for attention
Or to be admired
They won’t seek recognition
Or beg for your desire.

Their patterns stand out
Their colors shine bright
And without even trying
Their wings catch our eyes.
But it doesn’t matter
If we’re here or gone
Or if their beauty is noticed,
They’ll fly on.

I won’t ask
Won’t beg, won’t seek
Anyone to
Admire me.
My colors will shine
Even if they’re not awed
So despite recognition
I’ll fly on.

cooked worry
seared in a teary onion broth

Hors D'oeuvres

crushed with loneliness

Main Course
Stress Salad
tossed with insomnia
marinated in a vertigo dressing

General Trouble Chicken
battered uncertainty
gloomed to perfection
sitting on steamed danger
stir fried in an overwhelm sour sauce

Dessert
Choked Volcanic Eruption
mountain of OCD

Sorry, I love you
I didn't plan
To fall for you.

Sorry, I love you
I know it's a bother
So I'll never say it to you.

Sorry, I love you
Everything would probably be better
If I didn't.

Sorry, I love you
If I could stop it
Then I would.

Sorry, I love you
Why does it have
To be you?

Sorry, I love you
I'll put these words in a box
And hide them far away.

I love you
Is the three words,
Which I will never say...

There is a word

More powerful than any other...

Mythologised,

Romanticized,

Deified.

Men would fast for it,

Fight for it,

Live for it,

Die for it,

In hopes it could be passed

From one generation to the next.

Religions have been founded on it.

Countries went to war for it.

Way before Tolkien devised one ring to rule them all

There was a word,

Whispered and screamed.

The word was peace.

All I ask

Is don't tell me

Show me.
