The birds whistle away
Tweeting favourite lullabies.
The sun has transformed
Oranging,
From her brilliant yellow hue.
She vanished,
Hiding in her room.

The day
Which once posed
In bright neon shades
Of noon,
Has tasted the shadows
Of the moon.

A slice of the moon
Flaunts herself
In the naked, neutral dark skies.
The earth rages queerly.
Vomitting  a warning sign.

My mind dabbles
In its ignorant guessing
As I gaze upon
The uncertain skies.

I feel like a meteor
Might fall to the earth
Tonight.
Sometimes I feel like I can predict the next minute but it turns out I am not always right.
Help!
Please I
Cannot breathe the
Smoke of  brutality chokes my
Lungs!

Help!
Please I
Cannot breathe the
Stench of hate is
Overwhelming!

Help!
Please I
Cannot breathe the
Teargas of veto power is
Choking me out!

Help!
Please I
Cannot breathe, l
Presume I was human
Yet I gasp for the
Breathe of human empathy.
We are all human irrespective of the colour of our skin. We love our pets, we love our plants and furniture. Why is there hate amongst us, of the same race?

My mental health is not doing okay.
I’m not doing okay.
But i pretend I’m okay.
I’ll be okay.
Probably.
Hopefully.
Maybe.
I’m fine.
It’s fine.
Everything is fine.

Every sip I take
Every bad choice I make
Nothing makes me forget
That every single time
..
I break

Let me get deeper
Let me hold you
so tight
that your soul
can be linked to mine

and when you leave
the mediocre aspirations of this world
spill through your fingers
like mist
over a black lake
the fumbling despair of your heart
cannot tether you here
alas, life slips by
as a passing shadow
you too,
of little consequence
will fade away

and a bell in its place
to some, no doubt,
a disgrace

it was to me, i must admit
but new light shines
in place of it

our front page is new,
brighter than ever
and now made by you

trending was all the rage
but (we all knew it) the algorithm
couldn't hold the stage

so now he'll do his part
to get your poem out in front
but that's just the start

next it's up to the community,
a repost, a heart or a plucky thumb
dare I say, it's up to you and me
The latest: new icons, yay, a hot new front page, now created by U, and thumbs up/down on poems.
