Sacrifice is never easy.

                 Some struggle with it,

But for others,

                     It's as simple as 123.

Pitter patter,
Is that the sound of the drops of rain streaming outside down my windowpane or is it in the pain I am feeling while the tears cascade down on my swollen cheeks?
I try to speak but no words come out,
The rain stops.
Pitter patter, the sound of my tears and the thudding of my heavy heart are now one.

Love is  strange but beautiful.
                   Use it
                 **wisely

People pass by me,
   from all  every direction
even in winter snow.

From exhausted firemen,
      expectant mothers,
               forgotten children,
         marathon sprinters.
    Even grumbling men carrying heavy, ancient computer printers.

Each have their share and take their turn on me, the local sheltered, secluded
seat.
Even if only for a deep breath and a break or a little body
heat.
    
   Bags and books, all sorts of things have been dropped or left on me, proposals have even happened here, you
name it.
If you don't believe it, come see for yourself and
frame it.

You've made your future
                  Now it's my turn to choose
                             Mine.

If he had loved me,
      Maybe I could feel him now,
                    Or maybe not.

Before you let someone in to love you.
           Just a piece of advice,
      You should learn to love yourself
                           First.

X marks the spot but still I am lost,
                Stuck on the spot but feeling drawn to you.
       My lips go dry, yearning after your gentle touch.
Seeing you there shivering on the curb                                 brings tears to my eyes.
      You hold out your hand,
                  I am found.

With your hand in mine, I feel safe
With your arms around me, I feel warm
With your look at me, I feel strong
With your finger's caress, I feel fragile
With your kiss, I feel wanted

With your everything, I feel me
Without you, I feel **worthless

The older we get,
The more chapters are added to our lives,
The buckets of tears of shed, the threads of tissue which have since dried
The broken hearts which are repairing without us realising,
The words we have uttered to others or ourselves which have gotten us through,
The pain we endure, only makes one stronger,
The smiles and laughs that have been shared both publically and privately keep us human.

There's 365 days in a year but a little goes a long way if you make the most of it and live life to the fullest, prosper it.

         That's what makes one the wisest, here's to another year!

Can't hold
         back the
tears for
            much longer
It's been
            several   years
But still
           My heart's
Telling you
                to stay
But my
           head is
Warning me
                    that you've
already led,
                 pushed me
Away.

Birth is a beautiful event,
Birth is a wondrous thing.
If it wasn't for birth, none of us would be here, not even a single breath.
Birth is when life is given to you, for no cost but is worth so much more.
Savour it.
