Death

Time has turned,
turned to death.
I am lost
without a breath.
The thoughts I had
began to disappear,
when I looked out,
everything was unclear.
When the world started to fade
everything I saw
made me afraid.
I began to ask questions,
in search for confessions.
When nothing came out,
I began to have doubt.
The moment my heart stopped,
my body just dropped.
Now I stare out to the sea,
and know my soul is free.

-r.s
With moonlight between the earth and her feet
she wanders, shining soul,
the dark of the night
no match for her eyes.

The moon wonders down
at the bright creature,
melds her beams to stairs,
ascend, ascend,
Oh, brightest star.
Ascend to night's embrace.
I inhale you deeply
You wake me up
And make me sleepy

My hands all over you
But it's okay cause
Yours are on me too

Arms and legs tangled
Look at us, together
Broken and mangled

As I first taste you
I decide to sample
Each piece, so new

You are wonderful
Idiosyncratic
My kind of wonderwall
Yeah, this just kinda happened so... :"
The piano
The guitar
I've always been drawn to them
I remember
You had me up in your room
Wanting to show me
To strum for me
Introduce me to
The unknown
But I left you
For his piano
For his drums
While you tried
Desperately for me to
Listen to the cords that you played
When I finally looked back
When I decided to listen
You no longer wanted me to stay
As you took me home
I realized my mistake
Part memory, part metaphor.
A mistake I don't want to make again.
Insane,
Is this pestering need,
To fall asleep with you.
Just...  just once?
why do i love you when you're still unsure about loving me???

At this point I know it's over
They've told us where the plane is heading
I've always thought I'd know what to think if something like this happened
But I'm lost here
I'm not thinking about my beautiful wife
Or my daughter
My parents who will outlive me
Or my friends who are off living their lives

I keep thinking about the mailman
No really I do
How he'll have to go around tomorrow
Passing this tale of tragedy
Gracing my family with statistics
Thousands dead thousands hurt
I feel bad for that mailman
For he will never truly understand the pain he will bring

This mailman does not know my name
He does not know my wife, my daughter,
The man next to me,
My first grade teacher, my first girlfriend
He does not know my dog
He does not know my true dreams or my hopes
My ambitions, my musings, my innermost thoughts
No this mailman only knows he is passing out the paper

Delivering news to millions who do not want it
Do you know
How much it hurts
To be near you,
And know there's
Not a thing I could do
To persuade you
To give me
A chance?
