Two candles, side by side,
Arms of thread—their aid—
Wrapped around as they hug,
Gracious flames of burning shrug.

Two candles, side by side,
They burned and radiated light.
Hesitance grew as they stood;
They burned their thread—passionate mood.

One cried, the other raged.
Flames engulfed the fabric red.
Two candles, side by side—
A burning heart, in between, laid.

Smaller the candles grew,
Glory to the light they drew.
One burning, the other hides—
Two candles, held side by side.
Let me tell you about that night
When the moon hadn't been high.
The clouds were all set around
Making a path, at the center, for luna to lie.

The clouds became blue,
The stars were blocked.
In time, rainfall came though,
In mid October, as we talk.

The date had been wrong,
My calendar was torn.
Clouds' inspirations prolong,
A raincoat I had worn.
It was a wrong night,
An incorrect date was recorded.
The reader questioned the journal's insight.
The story had long been discarded.
Take me to the black lake
Where every beauty, all seems fake.
Stunning yet vile,
You walk down the aisle.

A query arises from within
How and where did your genus begin?
Take me to the black lake,
Where water burns and rocks shake.

I made a game, while unfair, you'll play
And reap me, ofcourse, but in delay
Oh take me to the black lake
Where death begins, life is at stake.

Here my body shall lay,
In the heart of the windy bay.
Oh take me there,
To the lake of no light,
To the end of entire affair.
The black lake,
A contradiction,
An end, but a begining
"I like you!"
I wished to shout,
Something rare, right about.
A spark that burned through.

But I never knew you,
Well, it was for an instant—
We came upon,
I saw you, only you.
(And you never saw me.)

You never saw me,
I was translucent.
A shadow,
A breath between moments.
A whisper lost in crowded hums.

What we could be—
You never thought to oversee
Yet, only I hesitated.
Only I remained reluctant.
Only I remained reluctant.
Among the crowd, busy life,
I saw a soul, hustling around.
Not like people, always rife,
A lost boy, ought to be found.

I saw you pass by,
Pass though my whole.
I wished to talk, say "Hi!"
But I only saw you, behind the pole.

I saw you, but so did you
You opened your mouth, I passed by,
Like a puzzle, you left a clue,
Walked away just after, "I!..."

What were you about to say,
This haunts me still,
Maybe you wanted to make me your bae,
Oh, I'm climbing a steep hill.
I never cared for green,
For I was not a camera lens.
A colour, everywhere seen,
Making the environment intense.

In every scene, every shade,
I now find a glimpse of you.
Distances begin to fade,
When I feel the emerald view.

Now, I see it everywhere—
in the way ivy clings despite the weight,
in storms, and nowhere
Resting in its own shade.

I never knew I'd like green,
Til you showed it so serene.
I received a green heart!!!!
Let me show you one that's mine;
She, sweet and strong Caroline.

Her hair, a mess of own
Her eyes, radiant of dawn,
Her skin, under sunlight shine
Oh sweet Caroline.

In every journey she embarks,
A new light, shines a new mark.
Her feats cross the skyline,
Oh proud Caroline.

A palace in her name,
It shall grow in fame.
Own the throne, a while,
My sweet Caroline.
She's strong, a brilliant mind, a shine.
She's my sweet Caroline
