We use to ask each other with smiles in our faces
"What do u want to be when U grow up?"
Today we have grown up, look what we have become.

Just pray to be buried in graduation gown,
To be mined liked treasures,

Our dreams were made of closed fists
Made strong gold,
Today they made of decomposing fabric.

I have implanted dream in my girlfriend’s womb,
Dream will make you of himself after 9 months.

Does it always have
to be the red balloon
that flies?
When it should be
the permanent
blue skies
There are various colors
waiting, but ain't red
I hate the sluice of indigo
and sulfuric smell of purple
Not because of the lies
that lay ahead
It reminds me of the happiness
I lost in quadruple

So many dreams, I venture to live.
So many breaths, I take to live them.

So many gifts, I see before eyes.
So many miracles, I have in moment.

So many footsteps, I take to dance.
So many rhythms, I hear in heart.

So many prayers, I send with gratitude
So many treasures, I have in life.

It's amazing how much your smile makes my day,
You seem to bring out the best in me.
It's intriguing, you value my flaws and love them in every way,
The part of me i rarely see.
In my eyes,
Brightening up my night,
You're a firefly,
Intrigue me with your light.
I swear,
With you as my love,
I got it all my dear,
Our love as pure as the white on a dove.
As i treasure you and you treasure me,
I will always love thee.

I know we're both broke
And I may not have all the answers
To all of your questions,
But I'll give you my two cents
From my wealth of knowledge
If you just spend a little time
And pay attention.
Who knows
I might catch your interest,
And in the end
We both might end up a little less broken.

Reach to the back of the old,
Reach behind the boxes entrenched with dust,
Reach beyond the shelves of tarnished trophies,
Reach beneath the tarpaulin brittle with age.
Reach and ignore the stains of the years
Stretch, *****, seek
And your fingers will brush
Against unfamiliar, new-to-you gems.
Reach and from unexplored corners
Reveal new treasures from the storeroom;
Treasures to enlighten
Treasures to surprise
Treasures to delight
The disciples of the kingdom.
Matthew 13:52
52 He said to them, “Therefore every teacher of the law who has become a disciple in the kingdom of heaven is like the owner of a house who brings out of his storeroom new treasures as well as old.”

Secrets of a poet are hidden inside heartbeats,
ready to be played on scripted page,
on platform for readers eyes.

They're buried beneath scar thought to be healed.
Exposed to bleed once again
so a poem can be birthed.

Perhaps, Secrets are inside rays of sun
that dance with kaleidoscope beauty
inside a warm breeze.

Or on top of a shooting star moving in galaxy
that opens one to wish inside a breathe.

Secrets in treasure chest of scribes vault
welcomes a readers eyes
with key-like words and strong intention.

Come, open the vault with eyes and partake
wont you?  The invitation is now given.

You can't remember where
Your buried treasures lie;
It's been years
Since you turned the earth,
Measured the wealth,
Stored it for days of leisure.
You lost the life mapped
With the X.
Why?
Did you mark the spot with G,
Or did you sell the  plunder?
Remember, you're no younger.
All your troves,
Blue ribbons and bows,
The buttons, the pins,
Your souveniers and sins
Have left you bankrupt.
I'm not a parrot keeper,
Can't curl my lip like Elvis;
Or sail into bays
To recover lost treasures.
