When I'm with you, I feel safe and carefree. Nothing in the world matters apart from you and I. I could lay in your arms all day, whilst you admire me from above. Your laughter is music to my ears. To hear your happiness, makes all my sadness dissapear . Your smile luminates my day.

(   the story of love which never grows old. )

I saw something the other day which blew me completely away
Sitting in a diner with a picture of his wife on the table
Who had recently passed away, but in his heart she did stay.
Fifty five years of heavenly bliss, recalling every moment and every kiss.
Tears would always fill his eyes, because it’s so hard to say good-bye.
He would run his finger on the picture of her face
Recalling every line, every trace.
Then a smile would appear, as he recalled his wedding year.
He had struggled to make ends meet, till he got on his feet
Working full time and going to school, for an education was the tool.
So his wife took two jobs and made him quit working
For this was the dream that he had been searching.
His dream had come true because of her love
And this is what he was thinking of.
In a whisper that could hardly be heard came his final words.
“We had shared a life and love so strong, that with you is where I belong.
This cancer has spread and has taken over my body and mind
And an angel has told me that it is now my time.
So keep the door open because I am coming home
So you will never be alone.”
He took his final breath with her picture in his hand
For he was going to the Promised Land.
where love overcomes all
We sidestepped the stars and became engulfed with the vast nothingness of space
without which they could not shine.

We avoided roses and carnations and gave ourselves over to the earth from which they sprang.

We ignored the music, but marveled at the waves of vibration which made sense of the sound.

We shunned the masterpiece, becoming enthralled by the technique which allowed its longevity to be enjoyed.

We spurned the story, but delved into the grammar and structure of every single word.

We spoke not of love, but acted. We cherished each breath shared in between without which there would not be us.

i want to make you melt in my memories so i can rebuild you out of wax and keep you because if you leave i don't think i'll be able to cope

i'd be a river running dry as the sun's soaked up every last drop of me and the mountain that allows my mind to remain in the clouds will collapse and an anchor will attach itself to my limbs dragging me down to a bed of self-pity and hopelessness and your medusa heart will turn everything i love into stone (including mine) because it'll no longer belong to me

all i want is for you to be as happy as you make me and if i can do that everything i was put on this earth for will have been fulfilled and i want to see you smile like your lips are gonna split open if you stretch them any further and i want your laugh to bellow out of you like you're choking up your sense of humour and i want those starry eyes to glisten like they're the only universe i want to get lost in

because i hadn't witnessed beauty before i looked at you and now i can't stop

i want to take your hand and lead you to the place i went to when i first realised i was falling in love because it's a waterfall and with every gush of water my veins burst into song and they were singing your name over and over again and i didn't have butterflies in my stomach i had wasps and scorpions that injected me with the image of your face so it's all my brain could project

all i can do is imagine a world with you where silhouettes of all the people surrounding us graze the sidewalks as a reminder that we aren't alone but alone with you i am and you're all i can focus on and i've never been happier

This dichotomy of desires

To be one

Or to be one with someone

A seesaw dance of thoughts

In perpetual motion

Is the joy of balance

A mere notion?

Two thoughts

within the span of an ocean

Engulfing a storm of emotions

Demanding a resolution

She sits at the loom
Weaving the fabric
Interwoven with dreams
The threads of trust and surrender
It’s an intimate mesh of finery
The colors of passion dyeing it
To hues of crimson, from the blushes
Of the maiden weaving her dreams
Intricate designs adorn the taffeta
With the future of love and togetherness
The bonding of a strong fabric of Love
To drape them over their bare bodies
Together, gazing at the starry skies
As they descend to adorn the drape
Shimmering with the passion of Love
The maiden and her lover, has woven a drape
Celebrating their togetherness
For Love has bonded them with fabric of Love
A drape so intricate and warm
For Love shall always be draped, till eternity

It's me you're looking for
according to Lionel not
quite falsetto but at least
smooth alto unpunctuated
to give your wonder freedom
to wander and wonder
who each of us is - poems
demand so much of us
for sure hesitant English
speakers add frequently,
I noticed it first with Sven Goran Ericsson.
He would add "For sure..." to his every utterance as if expecting conformation that the way he spoke English was comprehensible.

Laughs just go away and don't come;
To me my days have become lonesome;
I live painfully through my day;
While you are far, far away.

When you needed me I was there;
Without you it's grieving here;
My heart longs for you, in a big way;
While you live far, far away.

I miss the good-times, I tell you so;
In the realms of togetherness we will go;
Until then, lets drift through our days;
While you wait for me far, far away.

Far away that you live;
Only pain longing times give;
We will unite and together stay;
Keep hoping where you are far, far away.
