With nothing to drink,
I grabbed her and put her in my glass.
Leaving her arm hanging out
Softly stirring her around.
Nothing else was needed outside of that moment.
A woman whom was patient, self sufficient, tender.
A woman whom could make me put away my pride and admit in an otherwise advanced situation.
That I had nothing to drink.
After a while water gets boring.
Sodas complicate the simplest of things.
I needed something new.
Something that could quench my thirst with no never-mind involved.
Without the need for ice,
She was the solution to all my problems.
Placing her inside of a glass.
Devouring her sip by sip

I am so thirsty.
I sip and sip
But still my throat is dry
And hot.
I feel the air growing thicker.
Or maybe thinner…
It is so hard to tell.
Why is it so hard to tell?
All I know is it is hard to breath.
I can’t breathe.
I can’t breathe!
I feel myself letting go.
What is it that I am releasing?
What do I have to hold on to?
And I gasp and grasp at the air
Yet I will find no reassurance
And no comfort.
I am greeted with the harsh wind of truth
Which stings my cheeks and blinds me,
Shards of broken glass cutting me down.
Breaking me down.
Soon there will be nothing left.
I do not want to let go.
I want to hold on.
I want to be here.
I want. I want. I need.
I need a drink.
I sip and sip
It trickles down,
touching every inch of me.
It scorches my throat
And scalds my stomach.
It does not
Satisfy me.
I do not know why
I continue to sip
This dreadful elixir.
It is too late.
For it has already put a spell on me.

Such a hunger
     holy hunger
         and thirst
              such joy
                   such peace

A Holy Place
      to be

Such a memory
     to return to

The Presence of God
      is in that place.

a simpler time to return to....forgotten for a moment....the memory brought to life once again by another's poem....thank you!
Why ocean is so  thirsty that its waves lick
The feet of beloved on shore being so sick
You have yours and she just carries her ethic
You are fanatic and she in her graces angelic

Music of ocean plays with soul of the angels
Beauty in candle surpasses all other candles
It flows like vehement flood in all channels
Rose withers but gives its beauty to its petals

Let my love your beauty be caressed by ocean
Communicate your soul with lover one on one
Beauty has her own style and love has its season
Be my soul let me take you as my love passion

Love at first sight,
I love your frame.
My lust takes aim,
try with all my might,
to push your button like a game.
I use my tongue,
to twist a knot,
in your throat; like a rope.
I'm dope to your veins --
I ignite your flames
with a passion untamed;
hope to bare your passion fruit
peeling your flesh back
until you wear my body like a name.
sip'n' lick your juices until your drained
I knew you would come, and i'm glad your came.
i love when you scream, your roll your tongue in my name.

In a glass
building,
I waited in stillness,
drenched in
cold sweat,
until our eyes
met
and you chose
me over
the
others.

The door swung
open and
your firm grip
carried me away.
With a smile, you
raised me up to
meet your face.

Suddenly,
I was
bowing down,
kissing your
mouth, my
insides pouring
into you.

Swallowing my
elements, you
extinguished
your
appetite
and soothed
the hunger,
awake
within your
belly.

With your
your hands
skating
over my sleek,
designer
dress,
we danced
sugar high.

the act of
restraining self
from the hunger
of your sweet kisses
and the thirst
of your soothing touch

Then there was her; then there was I.
Intangible to loves mystery, running away in thought.
Helpless; I want you to love me.
Your eyes lost forevermore in mine; forever awake in the blink of an eye.
The wells of your eyes drenched in mine.
Cast deep, a bucket tied to a rope.
Overfilled in the cusp of your heart.
In that instance I become selfish.
In the next I become shy; finding the words to tell you how much I love you.
At the expense of hanging on the other end of the rope.
The complexity of something so simple.
Its funny how I am obsessed with the thought of you.
Constantly turning the wheel
Yearning to taste your heart in everlasting bliss.
It comes natural.
To want you to love me.
Then there was her; then there was I.
Then my eyes sought; then they found

I see a thin wafer cake, baked flat and fine
round, like a dime,
called the Body of Christ
i think of it as the bread of life

beside it, a cup...with red wine
known as... the Blood of Christ
quenches all thirsts in our earthly life.

one can't be without the other
never bread, without wine
never blood, without the flesh

i have gone this far in my life
i cannot be without both.

Might there be a fountain
where souls long dead from thirst
find spirits raised to life in floods abounding free,
so that what once walked as corpse,
night-bound and blind, may see?
Old self exchanged for Treasure,
diving in tastes such rejuvenation
as can't be weighed by mortal measure—
wine unlike our earth-grown fruit whose petals fall,
from this Vine flowers the pleasantness of Love Divine
which bathes in healing waters all
who come as humble newborn with bold **** to dine.
"Jesus answered, 'Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks the water I give him will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.'"  John 4:13-14

"Then Jesus declared, 'I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me will never go hungry, and he who believes in Me will never be thirsty.'"  John 6:35

"On the last and greatest day of the Feast, Jesus stood and said in a loud voice, 'If anyone is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink. Whoever believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, streams of living water will flow from within him.'"  John 7:37-38

"'I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in Me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from Me you can do nothing.'"  John 15:5
