I want you to know that
The time I get with you
I treasure.
Whether we are lifelong friends
Or you leave tomorrow
The time I get with you
I treasure.
We are transient by nature.
I could have a hundred years to know you
And it would not be enough.
I could have a hundred years to feel the rain and watch the sun rise and laugh and cry and love
And it would not be enough.
It is not nearly enough
And so I
Treasure it.
I want you to know that
Any moment I spend with you
Any art I make with you in mind,
I am giving you a piece of my life,
The most precious thing I have,
Slipping through a sieve
More each day.
And I give it to you because
I know that yours will someday run out as well.
(And the thought lances through me,
And no wonder the sky weeps rain
With such a loss hurtling toward it
So inevitably.)
The time I get with you
I treasure
Because beautiful things
Are always transient
And I mean to love them all
While I still can.
Beating at a decreased speed the heart is yearning for a change.
The eyes they see an object and in envy they begin to crave.
One thought after another, it’s all the same, my brain is in a rage.
All of a sudden the thoughts become clear and fondness begins to sprout.
The envious eyes begin to mist with laughter and echo with infectious cheer.
Running down Mount Epidermis the heart feels a sudden sprinkle.
Quenched by a monsoon of tender affection the heart, it quickly starts to blossom.
A shadow no more, a feeling so familiar, the heart resonates like the beating of a drum.

I long for your hand
reaching out to you
in your solitary time

it feels right to exchange
tenderness as rare
garment today

everyone wearing
passion, jealousy, envy
claiming to feel

alive consumed indeed
that common look
wearing everything out

underwear outerwear
deeds feelings selfies
very little left beneath

simply I reach out
to your hand let it be
all with all its significance

the stillness
of some nights
has few equals

owls sounds
out of nowhere
under this canopy

honeyed darkness
wrapped around
my lonely steps

express yourself
on the page
in all your
tenderness & rage

let it flow, bend,
crash & break
let it leave with
nothing left to take

express yourself
this age & hour
from your lonely
wooden tower

those souls you leave
drowning at sea
still as much of you
as they are of me

express yourself,
without shame
in humility there's
no room for blame

be like the palmtree
subject to wind
and flow freely
from deep within

express yourself, and
step forward
beauty is in things
just don't look for it

beauty is in things,
don't look for it
keep heart, remember
those four words
"don't look for it"

I forget sometimes

I want to grow a pair of wings
-Sharp, beautiful, majestic ones-
To hold you in and press you tight
inside them, Like the tender silken
roses you sent, That dozed deep in
the pages Of our favourite book,
So I can keep you
For ever.

My hands are strong but gentle
My voice is tender
I will not use it against you

You laugh when I kid
You smile when I tickle you
You say it can't be done

You're calm when I'm near
You're safe in my arms
I hold you all night

I give you my passion
You ask for more
I give you my all

I listen to your heart
I respond in kind
Sweetness from the deepest place

But you turned away for another
